Perhaps your floppy cable is plugged in backwards.
To test your power supply connect the green wire and the black wire with some shielded wire .

And try turning it on outside the board.
Well the e2160 and the e4300 are the same chips with just different cache .
I'm sure i can overclock this chip alot more with more vcore. But then i'd have to go away and buy another cooler and thats defeating the reason why i bought the chip in the first place.
I dropped down to 1.4vcore...
Well atleast you know the tcp/ip stack is ok .
Oh ya by other ccnnection icons what do you mean ?
Edit
I'm off to bed so here's all i can think of.
Use ipconfig /renew to get a new ip addresss
Also try assigning a static ip adress by instead ?
Goodluck...
My build is the abit ip35-e , e2160 with intel hsf and i can hit 3.4 easily on mine and it's my first overclock.
I dropped mine down to 3ghz and it's flying .
A nice cheap build and performs just as good as the over priced ones you see on here.
open the command prompt and try this
ping 127.0.0.1
if you get a reply back then try the following
in the command prompt type in ipconfig /all
and reply back with the info.
if the above don't work unistall your network card drivers and reinstall them.
1066 / 4 = 266 mhz *front side bus all intels are quad pumped so divide the 1066 or 1033 or 800 by 4 to get the mhz
ddr2 800 / 2 = 400 mhz ddr 2 ram is double data rate so divide by 2 to get the mhz
you still have another 134mhz untill you reach ddr800 speeds so you will be fine.
I'll take your advice and stick to 3ghz at stock voltage .
Thats still a great overclock with this chip.
Good value for money i'm delighted with it it.
Thanks ,
and happy overclocking :)

You asked what the better bang for the buck is.
None of them are.
As you know nothing with cpu's is set in stone but on most sites i visit they will atleast get this speed.
e4400 $119.00 overclock to 3ghz
e2140 $69.00 overclock to 3ghz
What do you feel is the best bang now?
Hi.
