Out of curiosity, why don't you upgrade your laptop to XP?
If it's an older machine, you may think it will make it too much slower, but as long as you have enough RAM, an optimized Windows XP install can be just as fast as a 98 install, and it'll be a lot more stable and compatiable.
Tbred's are NOT multiplier locked. You need a motherboard that supports multiplier switching, or you can manually solder a multiplier switcher onto your motherboard.
Yea, a lot of people (including myself) are having this problem. See the thread at F@t Wallet. And it isn't only limited to DD5.1 . The noise is also there when you're in the direct 6 channel input mode, so it's not the digital decoder or the coax cable.
Just got 3 pairs for my home entertainment system.
Used Cool Edit and generated some tones to test the bass on these. They start responding at around 40 Hz, but really don't start picking up until 60-70 Hz.
Since I have an extra speaker left over (only need 5 for my home theater setup), I'm...
Just got back from a BB in GA. It's $399 with NO REBATE in the stores. I think they closed the ordering online because the rebate came out 2 days early. I suspect that system is going to be $449 - $100 = $349 next week or so, but they mistankenly posted the rebate online earlier.
A lot of those...
Hehe... Really good deal. I still like the LJ4 I got for $60 though... Can't beat the price on the toner - $10 for 8k yield cartridge. Too bad it's only 600 dpi and 8 ppm, but you really can't tell the difference between 600 dpi and 1200 dpi text anyways.
Hum... I know the office is looking for...
Well, sorry, but I never learned to drive stick and my parents have all but forgotten how. :) I have been looking into the Tacoma, and mostly found MSRPs in the $14,000 range. Is that right? Also, I was looking at a Dodge Dealer's website, and they advertised a Dakota for $13,000 with a LOT more...
I need your help, guys. My parents are looking to buy a new small to medium sized truck that's pretty reliable, and really, really, cheap, preferably with a 0% APR.
This truck will primarily be used to transport goods for my parents' small business, but I'll also be occasionally driving it to...

I was buying a 256 MB SODIMM for my laptop when I noticed this deal in the clearance section. Since USPS shipping is a fixed $5, I figured that I could use some extra keychain material around my house, and added the lot of 50 SIMMs to my order...
On a hunch, my friends and I tried to see if we can get AP scores today by phone. To our suprise, the grades were actually available, several days ahead of the scheduled July 1 date.
The number's 1-888-308-0013, and you'll need your SSN or AP Number and a credit card.
hum... it will actually cost more to get it through staples after tax for my area, since Outpost/Fry's doesn't have a presence in GA. Hot deall. I'm jumping on this.
Are you absolutely sure?
http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Articles/Specific.asp?ArticleHeadline=32x+CD%2DRW+Roundup+Vol2&index=8 reports that the AOpen drive doesn't...
Hum...
Here's what I did:
Rio SP90 for $99 - $20 rebate - $20 coupon - $20 AmEx Blue PM = $40...
Koss Car Pack (Includes 12V -> 4.5 V adapter and Cassette Adapter) - $20
Total: $60...
IMHO, the SP90 is still a better deal.... I'm sure you can hack the remote link, and I already have one of...
It also costs $$$
Where as you can do the same thing in IE by setting up restricted/non restriced sites and changing their security settings for free...
Install "Newbie Linux" (aka Red Hat) before AOL starts bundling their "HOT HOT ACTION NEW COM(U)E HERE NOW 1000 FREE HOURS INTERNET SERVICE" with it...
