No more rolling the dice! Q6600 G0 in stock ;)

This made me giggle like a little schoolgirl... Considering I'm only looking to initially OC to about 3.0-3.2 (most likely 8x400), I should be able to get some mid to high 50's. What voltage are you feeding your CPU for 3.6? I'm considering doing the same w/ my Tuniq that just came...

building new Q6600 based system to OC - which MB?

Excellent choice swapping the PSU to the Corsair :) That's why I just ordered, both because of the reviews I've seen online, and also the experience my friends have had!

I ordered mine Friday night and it shipped out Monday, if that helps as a timeline for anyone! It's scheduled to get here Friday... if only my HDD and PSU would get here Friday instead of monday :( I'm looking forward to assembling my first new PC in a few years!

E6850 or Q6600

Because of the simple fact that you don't want to upgrade again for another 3-5 years, get the Q6600. I was stuck in the same predicament that you were, and chose the Q6600 because of what someone else mentioned. Games like Alan Wake will really need 2 cores to function well... In 2-3 years, I...

These sticks are supposed to be very good. I just ordered a set that should be arriving later this week. If you read the reviews on multiple sites (mushkin's site has links to 'em), they all say that they are VERY good overclockers. No one seems to have any problem pushing them to DDR1000...

Excellent! I just ordered one! I had a pre-order in at TankGuys.com but they are backordered and aren't even expecting to start shipping until the 10th of Aug. and this is even cheaper! Even with the $5 cancellation fee, it's still less $$ and I get it 3-4 weeks faster! Great post, thanks again!

Yea, I'm not denying the simple laws of Supply and Demand as I mentioned above... My first post I guess I was just a little upset at the extent of their use of "Supply and Demand" as reasoning. I have a business minor (no that doesn't make me an expert, but I do have a little taught knowledge...

Got my e6750 today!

I've watched the price on NewEgg all day... I checked at only 4 separate times and each time the price went up... from $199, then to $210, $225, and now $235. Because of this crap, I will never buy anything from NewEgg again. I'd consider that price gouging in my book.
