    to be honest i wasnt impressed with the performance i saw in splinter cell: DA, r6 vegas, dirt, or bioshock. so if i CAN actually get max settings at 1280 (with avg fps of like 60), then i'll be deliriously happy. and i'll say so myself that my rig is at least mid-top of the line.

    but im thikning like this: if i sell my gts in 2 months time, i'll probably get 200 cad MAX for it. i paid 320 for it cad (approx 300 USD) which would ALL go towards the new vid card.... i guess i'll have to wait and see.

    imo, thats the ram on the video card. my older vid card used to do the same... im not sure what i did, but i recommend before you do anything drastic to do the following 1) make better ventilation 2) underclock the ram on your vid card.
