What a steal - 300 sq ft house for $180k!

The thing should be two or three stories .... waste of space. I used to rent a 255sq ft apartment for $380 in Houston, off of I-10 and 610, across from the Marqee center. That shit was small, just to rent ... couldn't imagine buying a house that tiny.

Tips on becoming a better writer

As others have suggested, read a lot - possible 1 to 2 novels per week, from a well known author in a genre you like. As long as it holds your attention, it will help you learn sentence structure and the like ... you should also keep an MLA handbook around, and follow writing plans. Perhaps...

Anyone else work in an office that requires you to reset your passwords every 60 days or sooner?

Used to work at a large financial company doing help desk support for internal users - we had a variety of around 300 total passwords. All had to be strong and changed every 90 days. A lot of the applications had to be logged into once every 15 days ... so don't freakin complain about 20 or 30...

What is wrong with people these days?

At a station that's up to code - reality is that not all stations are up to code, and the flowback option might not exist, meaning the entire tank could be at risk of blowing up. Either way, there's still a possibility.

Buy cheap, flamboyant bikes ... and then label em with stickers and crap. I was thinking of buying a decent BMX single speed cruiser on CL and spraypainting it and all, just to make it tacky that no one would steal it.

Next time, you'll learn. Never keep a bike like a K2 out - there is ALWAYS room indoors. If you must resort to leaving the bike outside, remove the front wheel and use a ULOCK on the back, maybe two that have seperate keys. Also, remove the seat and carry it with you - it may look stupid, but...

Act of War and its expansion

A lot of Act of War's audience comes from the guy who wrote the book and script for the game - Dale Brown. He is an awesome writer, and if you enjoyed the game, you should really check out all his books, starting with Flight of the Old Dog.

Goint to LA and San Francisco later this month

Went there on vacation this year - man, it was awesome. Made me want to move there ... Anyways, we got to eat at Calzone's in Little Italy - god, the crust would melt in your mouth. Make sure you pickup the Lasagna Calzone if you go there, and the pizza is awesome too. I highly suggest it ...

Need ideas for a presentation topic

In high school, I gave a demenstration oh how to remain silent, which provided about a total talk time of 30 seconds. Unfortunately, we had to make it last 5 minutes - so I provided an example and stood there. Ended up with the highest grade in the class.

Or, *gasp* people could be modifying the control scheme. It's not hard, I made right thumbstick become my melee, like CoD4 is. It makes a world of difference, zoom is on B now for me.
