Its certainly true that you generally only hear about the complaints because only people with problems usually bother posting on forums etc looking for answers. You might get the odd enthusiast coming on and singing the praises of his new purchase but most are too busy actually using the thing...
Its here I get confused!!! To maintain a 1:1 ratio with my 1066 RAM I would need an FSB setting of 533 right? That would put the CPU at 4.8Ghz...which even if I had watercooling is unlikely to work. Even dropping multiplier to 8 would still result in an obscene CPU speed of 4.26Ghz....way...

Thanks for the tips....I'll have a fiddle and see if I can get any of that to work. The main problem and difference to your situation seems to be that clearing the CMOS with the jumper is no longer guaranteed to cure my system. It used to but not any more for some reason. I cant see a pattern...

Hey Airs, did that new RAM work out for you? Im having cold boot issues with my DQ6 and if I knew for sure it was my OCZ PC8500 DIMMS that it didnt like I may consider throwing more money down teh hole and buying some new RAM....but I dont want to do that just to find the problem still exists...
