Sloooow VPN

Could my problems have anything to do with the fact that I am using the router as DHCP server? I figured that may explain why forwarding doesn't work for me.. (It says you have disable to disable DHCP for forwarding to work - ehh...)

Ports needed for VPN (or how to remove my server from DMZ)

Read the posts a little close, and I am back to square one. I have tried to forward port 1723, biut that didn't work. Seems like that is the only port? (I am not using IPSec) Would I have to enable Wan requests if I am using forwarding? Any other setting?

Sloooow VPN

I am running a Duron 750MHz with 256MB RAM. Nothing else was running at the time. While it is not the fastest, I just can't imagine the computer being the bottleneck. The client is running W2k Proffesional on a 600 MHz machine. My cable downloads using are running at 800 MBits/sec. Uploads...

Thnaks for the quick responses on the VPN ports. I will try my luck again ;-) I am using a Windows 2000 Server as a VPN server. I am going though a Linksys Router and a cable modem. The Server is put in a DMZ. We are using PPTP. The client also goes through a Linksys router and a cable modem...

Will UDMA66 be affected by a CD on the same channel?

I seem to remember that I I have a UDMA33 and a UDMA66 drive on the same IDE channel, that the faster drive will be limited to UDMA33. Is that true? If so what happens if you have another IDE drive (CD or tape) on the same channel? Thanks, Henrik

Hooking up a CD-RW and CD using IDE

Should I worry about putting the CD-RW and the regular CD on the same IDE channel? I thought it would limit the transfer speed, but I haven't seen anything on the net mentioning this being a problem. When I tried it on my in-laws PC, a Plextor 8-4-32 can't read from a Creative 52X at full 8X...

MSI K7T Pro or Asus A7V?

Forgot to mention that I am running Windows 2000 and Win95 on dual boot. I was nerviosu I would have problems with WIn2000, but everthing has worked great.

No room for T900 on MSI K7T
