Any input on neutering a dog?

I have a 12 month old yellow Lab. Our vet recommended waiting until he was fully grown (around 18 months) before we neuter him. We're still unsure if we're going to or not because he hasn't displayed any unwanted male behaviors yet and it seems like he would be displaying some by now if he were...

    Is Pandora One worth it?

If you're using Pandora, download the AdBlock plugin for Chrome. If you configure it right, you'll almost never have any adds. (I listen to Pandora at work and I'll maybe get 1-2 adds a week) No need for Pandora One unless you really want the increased audio quality.

My poor sick doggy. :( Ever had a dog with HGE?

Oh ok. I misunderstood. I thought you were giving him leftovers as a substitute for dog food. Most dog food companies have terrible ingredients. We've had pretty good luck with Pet Botanics, and I have made some homemade treats before (dehydrated sweet potatoes and chicken liver biscuits)...

My poor sick doggy. :( Ever had a dog with HGE?

He probably would notice that. Two of my brothers are colorblind (the kind where they mix up colors, not black/white kind), and one of them at least has a hard time telling the difference between red and brown so I can see why he wouldn't have been able to tell if there was blood in his dog's...

My poor sick doggy. :( Ever had a dog with HGE?

I'm glad your dog is ok, but I really have to disagree with you on the food thing. Yes, people food is people food because we call it that, etc, and there are many terrible dog food for dogs made from leftover by-products(Dog Chow, etc.). However, there are a lot of dog foods available that have...

Bride becomes dictator in letter to bridesmaids

I guess I find this surprising. I have been a bridesmaid in a few weddings and married last year. I have never encountered any of these types of problems. I don't see why people make such a big deal out of people going to every single event, especially if there are a bunch of things. My husband...

    Getting a roommate

Those are great tools. I have one for my lab who doesn't shed much yet because he's still a puppy. To OP: If you are going to buy one, I would recommend that you do, buy it on amazon. They are around $50 or $60 at a pet store. I got mine on amazon for about $15 IIRC. Here's my yellow lab...

Let me just first start off saying that I mean this in the nicest of ways although it might not sound that way. I would really recommend that you also search online for resume building tips to totally revamp and format your resume. Your resume needs a lot of work, and this is just what stuck out...

Do women care if a guy is going bald?

My husband has been losing some hair since his late teens and I can't say that it bothered me when we started dating or now. He is tall and blonde so that helps as not many people can see the top of his head, and the light color helps. I cut his hair using #3, #4, and #5 guards. Baldness is less...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

Well she did try to clean the counter to see if the stain would lift. What we've been told by her and a sale associate at a hardware store is that some type of bleach product probably got on the bottom of a glass and that is what caused the discoloration. As others have said, we will probably...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

That's about what we've done at this point with talking to her. My husband is going to go over there this weekend to try and see what he can do to fix it. Hopefully that works but I've pretty much accepted that it will likely end in us losing that money out of our security deposit.

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

Thanks for your input on the normal wear and tear issue. I see your point. I would say that in the past we have lived at fairly nice places. Not that we've caused any permanent stains in the past, but weren't not used to hearing of someone replacing carpet (for comparison) over a small stain...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

This is what we are hoping to be able to negotiate with her. I'm fine with her charging us some money as that was our mistake and it is noticeable. Any suggestions on how to go about discussing this with her in a way that doesn't make her more inclined to look for other problems with the place...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

How easy or difficult is it to replace a counter for someone with no installation experience? Neither my husband or I have ever done a repair like this and I would really hate if we ended up causing more problems by replacing it. And to be honest, I don't really foresee the landlord being ok...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

Do you have any recommendations for products that can dye laminate and would be close to the particular color? My husband is going to go over to the property this weekend to see if there is any way we can prevent our landlord from having to replace it. He has already asked the landlord about the...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

I definitely agree, but the landlord considers the property to be an 'upscale' condo and since everything else looks so nice and is in great condition this mark is unacceptable.

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

I've been looking at ways to rejuvenate color or polish out the stain. I'm going to try a few different methods that I found online (silver polish, lemon juice, etc.), unfortunately we've already moved out and given back our keys. So any attempts at fixing the spot would have to be coordinated...

YAL(Landlord)T: What constitutes 'normal wear and tear'

My husband and I recently moved out of a rental property where we had lived for a year. We were model tenants and returned the condo in (my opinion at least) excellent condition. However during the walk through with the landlord she noticed a small ring-like stain on one of the bathroom counters...

Common problem: Heel slipping out of shoes

You might just have a narrow heal. I do, and it was always a pain. I can usually get away with not having shoes slip by going 1/2 size smaller, but it doesn't work in all shoes. I'm not sure how hard it is to get narrow shoes in men's shoes though.

Travelers check in - best spinner luggage?

I have this set: Samsonite® Aspire™ GRT Black. I've been pretty pleased with it. They are soft and have gotten a little bent when they've been checked, but that would be expected probably with most any suitcase. The fabric is in great condition though. Whatever you get, you will not regret...

I have a potential issue in my family

Because it's not like it's an issue of minor differences. It's not like his uncle was saying he liked to eat peaches and OP was like "WTF peaches suck." I could be misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you're saying that even if something is completely absurd, we should just respect...

    Depositing money at the bank

IIRC, anything over $10,000 they have to do a lengthy report on the transaction but sometimes it can be deposits of over $3,000. They care more about how much cash you are depositing because they can just put a hold on large checks. I don't remember if the $10,000 limit is only cash or cash and...

I have a potential issue in my family

IIRC, there is quite a bit of research that demonstrates that homosexuality is not a choice. Besides, given that many homosexuals continue to face a great deal of persecution, why would anyone choose that? Sure there may be a minor few that do, but I'm sure most don't. In addition, homosexuality...

How to tell family to go screw.......

So I am a little confused. Did you put the correct number of people for the RSVP and they are trying to add unnecessary people like their grandkids or did you say less people can come than are in their family. If it's the first, I'd just explain to them the cost and say if they want their...

I try to make as much from scratch as I can. This week I made homemade noodles, homemade gnocchi, enchiladas, and beef stroganoff. My husband made french onion soup from scratch tonight. Yum! We have made so many soups from scratch that I find nearly any canned soup disgusting.

    Cookie Question

In my chocolate chip cookies, the butter to shortening ratio is 1:1. The taste very good and are nice and chewy throughout the week. I'm pretty certain that brown sugar to granulated sugar is also 1:1 ratio. Soften butter by taking it out of the refrigerator a while before you start mixing. It...
