Try using a higher end media like "Boobers" said. I've read In quite a few different places not to use Memerex media for DVDs.

System Crash......Need a few DLL's

They are not Windows dll's. They need to be in Windows\system I believe .The entire windows\system became corrupted and I've rebuilt it from a new install then reinstalled 98SE hoping it might add dll's for some of the programs on the system. At worst he'll just have to re-install those...

Older Enlight 7237

Power supply should always blow out removing heat from the case and the PS. SX1030 isn't really a full tower, its more of a cross between a mid and full. It is only 4" taller(with the 3/4" feet on it) than the Enlight 7237. I think the pics make it look taller than it is.

I've got the old case. There is no place for a rear fan, it is only on the new model. The back panel is set up so that modding it would be tough. I just got the SX1030 for my new case, this thing is sweet. It has plenty of cooling, 2 front fans(not included)& 2 rear included(not including...

What's that vertical plastic piece inside the SX1030?

I got my 1030 today and saw those also. Instruction book says it is a card holder. My guess is that they are for helping support full length pci cards (notice how each hole is directly across from the card slots.

Question about thermal tape/compound.

Correct, rubbing alcohol works. I've also read that fingernail polish remover works good, haven't tried it though.

To answer your question, yes. Actually, the CUSL2 is one of the best boards you can get for the P3. Just make sure you get the FC-PGA cpu.

Good heatsink or not?

I am considering it because it is copper which has a better thermal conductivity than aluminum which are basicaly the rest of the sinks out there (hedgehog excluded). I wish the pic showed a better view of the base myself. I figure that it is going to be better than the intel sink that is on...

Good heatsink or not?

The nearest fan that I can find to this one (spec wise) runs at 33/34dBA($6.50). The Y-S Tech fans on my P3125 Alpha are 34dBA each and they aren't that loud, actually they are quieter the my PS fan.
