Antivirus -> Avast or AVG Antispyware -> Spybot Search & Destroy or SuperAntiSpyware Firewall -> Zone Alarm or Comodo All are free and all are good enough :) Enjoy!

Avast : The Best Antivirus Freeware

I've read on AVG site, that it will no longer be free. I think users will have to pay from June or August, 2008. Sorry, cannot find the link now.

Looking for Antivirus and Firewall

As for anti virus try AVG or NOD32. These are the best two I have ever had. NOD is used at work and AVG at home. I know AVG is free, but not sure about the NOD, anyway these are worth a try.
