I don't use hwmonitor for anything either, I just noticed speenfan locking up system, but other monitoring proggys were not. cpuz, coretemp, everest, gpuz, atitool. But, none of those kept up with fan speeds, and I knew hwmonitor did...

    Bottom mounted psu

    I have a CM 690 it has a bottom mount PSU, and I pointed the exhaust down but, the case also has a spot for a 120mm in front of the psu, I blocked this off so psu exhaust isn't hauled back into the case my cpu load temp has never gone over 58C gpu never over 80C

    to all who posted 4xxx rigs: how come all of you have vcores around 1.5v? VID is the same for the 2xxx is it that you with the 4xxx don't run that vcore all the time (just ran that vcore for OC)? or is it that you think vcore up to 1.5 is safe to run day to day?

    i had to go 1.465 to get 3.15ghz out of my 2180, it's on a ip35-e my core temp topped at 56C with 2 hours of orthos 1.465 is barely over 10% VID, which is way within safe IMO It's definitely a safe vcore if you have only until Q1 2008 to go ! I would say if you don't intend the CPU to...
