WinXP SP2 user profiles disappearing

Greetings, Has anyone ever run into an issue where a WinXP user profile simply disappears. The profile itself is still in "Documents and Settings", but all the documents appear to have been swallowed. Sound like a virus you've heard of? We have a user experiencing this and I'm stumped...

IP Logging in Cold Fusion

Does anyone know how I'd log an IP, using ColdFusion, everytime I get a hit? I've figured out how to do it if a comment or some other information is left, but if nothing is left by someone who views my page, I don't know how to log them.... Any help/sample code would be appreciated...

Beating the Guardian in Doom3

Thing is, that stuff doesn't work. Not only that, the blue orb isn't on the guardian's back. Here's a link to a screenshot to see what I mean.

Ok...I've been trying for an hour to beat this guy but to no avail. I've been shooting down the seekers but that doesn't help. When the blue ball appears, it appears in the floor and not above the Guardian. I've tried everything...god mode and noclip just so I could get away from him, but...

Athlon64 boards

Are all the chipsets for the Athlon64 setup for asynchronous memory operation? I have DDR333 memory, but I thought that the new chips needed DDR400...will my old DDR333 work? I realize it will increase latency, but I'm just a poor college student. -Jimmycav

Ok...here's my issue. I was having problems installing WinXP on an old dual celeron machine (BP6). It didn't want to boot from CD no matter what I did and I couldn't get my hands on a boot disk. So, I removed the hard drive from the dual machine, installed it in another machine that I could...

So I've reinstalled my old STB TVPCI card in my machine (which I've recently put win98 back on). Only problem is that the drivers that came with the card only work in win95 and I can't find the win98 drivers anywhere!!! Does anyone know where I can get the win98 drivers??? Jim

inexpensive 760MP board

Does anyone know if any motherboard manufacturers plan on producing "cheap" (under $200) 760MP boards. I figured this might be something Abit would probably sink their teeth into eventually but I haven't heard anything yet. All the dual Athlon boards I've seen have been $500 and up...

Dual Durons :)

Brings me back to the good old days when I bought my first BP6 and threw in a couple of Celeron 400's and immediately oc'd 'em to 500Mhz. Ahhhhhh...those were easier times. Jim

New Sony CDRW problems

I just purchased a Sony 12x burner today. I've got Nero already installed on my machine, but I wanted to install the Sony CD Extreme software just to give it a try. Whenever I use the CD Extreme software, it spits back an error telling me more or less that I don't have a blank cd in the drive...

Does anyone know what brand of CDR Compaq uses in their Presario 5000 series. My mom has one and I'm trying to decide whether or not to switch hers with mine (I have a 2x...the one on the compaq is a 4x).

I had the same problem...I've got a Voodoo5 5500 and am running W2K Pro. I ended up reformatting and reinstalling. It sucked but it got the job done. Jim

ok...i tried that....am i doing something wrong? I'm sticking the <style>...</style> stuff in the head. Whenever i put a <br> tag in the HTML it doesn't break. I did a cut and paste.

Does anyone know what the HTML tag is for inserting a page break? It doesn't have to show up on the screen, just when the page prints out.
