So, im looking into getting a Lenovo with a 570m in it for doing CAD and some game programming on it for school.
My question is, what is the difference in he 570m that is made for graphic design and the NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800M GTX made for gaming?
Can the 570m play some fairly decent games...
I'm a freshman right now and I am planning to transfer schools, to which I am unsure of right now.
I probably wont be doing any actualy CAD work for school until next year, so I was looking for maybe something that would be used rather often.. I used CAD as a hobby and planning case mods etc...
Ya I will be using it in class.
Id like a larger screen size just because I hate to squint lol.
As for budget, id probably say nothing over $2,000.
something in the 1500 range is preferable but not really required :D.

Im not exactly sure what I should be looking for in a notebook.
I am majoring in mechanical engineering and minor in computer programming, so what should I look for in a laptop that would help me in these areas?
I will probably be doing a lot of CAD work and I already love to do...
So what company should I look into to for a laptop lol. I know Dell's CS is supposedly horrid and aparently HP isnt any good unless you have a business laptop.

Also, any companies I should try to stay away from (such as HP lol)? Any horror stories youve heard of?
Another factor though would be a laptop that could eventually play DX10 games :). But like Stu said I guess no laptop will be able to very effectively in a long time.
