Whats the proper way to clean out the inside of my case?

I use a soft toothbrush to first loosen the dust. Do this outside, of course. I take the cages off and even the the heatsinks, if needed. By using the toothbrush, I avoid any static from a vacuum cleaner. As you go along, just blow away the dust. It's amazing the little places the brush...

    Exchanging Hdd pcb possibilities?

Interesting you should post this, Pazzoman. Just the other day, I took a HD out of an old Packard Bell and installed in my own system. On the PCB of the HD, it's got 2.1GB stamped on it, but the drives fires up as a 6.4G. It's Western Digital. Seeing that, I can imagine that changing out...

Need some help choosing a $100-$200 inkjet printer.

As far as the new HP's, they may not have all separate ink tanks, but the printheads should all be separate. Very similar if not the same as what you see now on their newest all-in-one machines - the d135, d145 and d155. One black tank, one color tank, but four different printheads. It keeps...

Need some help choosing a $100-$200 inkjet printer.

Yes, the 932 is discontinued as well as the 952. The 15 cartridge (25 ml) is a total rip, but it also does not offer 1200 DPI printing like the the 45 (42 ml) - only 600. Text is much better with the 45. Actually the biggest rip is the 78 cartridge, but since you aren't planning to be doing...

Ever been attacked by a WILD animal?

Yup, by a squirrel. When I was about 7 or 8 a mad squirrel (my brothers had been throwing rocks at it for our an hour) ran up my right leg, biting as he went along. He didn't stop until I froze, then he jumped off me and ran off. That was one lucky squirrel because if my brothers weren't...

    Who invented USB?

Apple was one of the first to use USB - in their iMacs, but it was Intel that developed the chipset and Compaq that implemented the standard, both part of a consortium. Found it. Developed by a consortium of major firms including Compaq, DEC, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, and Northern Telecom.

    Florida just certified it...

Right, Russ...and not only that, but even with the 200 more votes that have been found by recounting since the official totals were due, Gore still doesn't have enough votes to beat Bush.

Should I seek medical help? Updated.

Go to the ER. Allergic food reactions can do damage that you are not aware of at the time. What you see on the outside could be happening on the inside as well. Kidney, liver, etc.

    Hillary is Senator of NY!!!

Once officially elected, she will do nothing, Paulson. It's all politics, my boy. Yes, he may have his own separate apartment (or outhouse) on the ranch up in Westchester, but we won't know about it.

    Hillary is Senator of NY!!!

She worked her ass off hiding her true feelings is all. Her husband committed adultry on her, then lied in office as the president...and she backed him up. She's a better liar than he is.

    Hillary is Senator of NY!!!

I'm on LI, which is mostly Republican. I have yet to meet one person that would vote for Clinton, so this vote is surprising me. Democrats will collect from all to give to the depressed. It's the signs on the lawns that you haven't seen that show a vote for more government $'s.

    Hillary is Senator of NY!!!

I would have hoped so too, Russ. Basically, it's this: 1. NYC is primarily Democratic. I don't think I need to explain why. 2. She won many of the Jewish votes over the last month with her giving back American Muslim contributions. 3. Upstate NY is and has been more depressed in recent...

Official OT Election Thread - What a ride!

CNN called NC a Bush state. If Bush can get PA, he'll be in much better shape (high electoral votes). If not, it could be tough for him.

What is the worst physical injury or pain that you have experienced?

Childbirth. Second being when a doctor botched knee surgery with me. I stayed up the whole night afterwards holding onto the side of the sofa shaking. Damn, that hurt.

Epson Photo 870 or HP 970c?

HP is just coming out with new printers. So far I've seen the output of the 990 and the Photosmart 1215. Although they use the same print engine, the 1215 does a better job. The output of the 1215 is fantastic. If I were you, whateveryasay, I would check it out before buying.

Bags of Chips and Trail Mix

Air in inflatable bags always look bigger, don't they? They also use the air as a cushion, so the average nonsense consumer doesn't feel the product and crush it. Forget the air, check the ingredients.

    ....Four and twenty Black Birds

My 20 year used to love when I sang him that song at age 2. To this day, he will take notice when I do. And to follow (damn I have trouble remembering).. The King was in the parlor counting all his money, the queen was in the kitchen eating bread and honey. The maid was in the backyard...

Stand by U.S. The War is about to begin!

The US, Israel and the Arab nations have devoted many years, many leaders and many $ into the peace process in the Middle East. I doubt very much that any of the countries involved will bow to the likes of bin Laden by issuing the war call. People, please put more faith into the unity of...

Despite what George W. Bush thinks, Ohio and Indiana are not in the "Middle East"

Despite what George W. Bush thinks, Ohio and Indiana are not in the "Middle East"

Actually, Britain divided what was known as Palestine into two parts in 1922. Western half to Israelis and the Eastern half to Transjordan(Jordan today). In 1946, Britain declared Transjordan it's independence, giving it it's own independent Palestine-Arab State. In 1947, the UN made a ruling...

Despite what George W. Bush thinks, Ohio and Indiana are not in the "Middle East"

I wouldn't mind seeing a decrease in the "aid" that we give Israel, Red. Most of the $ goes towards their military might and I would much rather see it go to ours, thank you. Not only that, but with less of those dollars, our influence with respect to their peace process may be...

Despite what George W. Bush thinks, Ohio and Indiana are not in the "Middle East"

Now, I will give my retort and response to that trash that I found at one of the Palestinian sites. You're exactly right, zippy. It's entirely possible that this story is not written by a 15 year old, but it may just be, also. If it is at all true, then I can understand the Israeli...

Despite what George W. Bush thinks, Ohio and Indiana are not in the "Middle East"

October 7, 2000 As we watched the news in Palestine, sitting in the refugee camp, we wished we could go to Palestine to confront our enemy. But all we could do is demonstrate every day in the camp, and twice...

Very true, HD2. If it weren't so, then the printer manufacturers would just go on using the same cartridges from the previous printers, old technology.

    Poll: Printer Manufacturer scam cartridges.

Printer prices have fallen about 21% in the last few months, but the cost of ink cartridges has risen 21%. The manufacturers are making more money because of the repeat business from consumers buying the ink. Lexmark even sells the Z22 that is a two cartidge system, but only the color...
