dpreview.com says the lens is great, but the pics tend to be "grainy" or noisey. Probably due to the small-ish sensor. Even at relatively low ISOs, the noise is clearly visible.

I'm using the 1600n printer networked (ethernet) and get printer errors fairly often.
It doesn't seem to matter whether it's a postscript, pdf, or just regular file.
It can happen when I'm printing a single form or a bunch.

I replaced a 10 year old HP laserjet with the 1600n.
I have found it to be not only more prone to odd unexplained "print error" messages, but also slower. I have only had a single paper jam over a couple months of moderate use.

Anyone know how to get off their mailing list? Their customer service page has a form (which produces a server error) for removing your name, but that form has a big warning saying that if you remove your name from the list, they will circulate it to other spammers.
Personally I had bad luck with Meritline and would trust newegg more. The Ritek G04's (supposedly - totally unlabeled) they shipped me would not burn above 2.5x with any dependability at all on my NEC 2500A.

Personally I've had trouble getting rebates from Parago. To get my Maxtor rebate (which Parago listed as "processing" forever ~2 months) I finally called Maxtor headquarters (after many emails, and only form responses from Parago).
Maxtor assures me now "the check is in the mail."

I bought these from SVC a few months ago when building a new system. I bought two packs and lined everything except under the motherboard - and double lined in some places. It has definitely improved the noise - no question.

I just installed 2003 on a 266mhz 128mb laptop. Definitely faster than XP (unusable on the laptop) and about the same so far as I can tell as Win2k.
Maybe even better. This is really a much leaner (default) config than XP. I haven't tried the new features yet.
