There are phpBB3 forums which have too much users (posts) to be running just on one server (must run on clusters or on several separated servers). For example - some of biggest fora in the world use phpBB - see http://www.big-boards.com/
So I am curious, how they do it? How they install...
Thanks for comments.
Yes, I copy and paste this from notepad to linux console in vi editor.
If I write exactly same text/code by typing - everything start work. Well, really strange, can you explain/understand it?
I have in fortran code - partt of code
Ueta1 = 0.6007 + (2.0*eta*0.86201)
Ueta1 = Ueta1 - (1.70706*3.0*eta*eta)
Ueta1 = Ueat1 + (1.08438*4.0*eta*eta*eta)
write(*,*)'3 eta ',eta,' Ueta1 ',Ueta1
result is NaN (eta is between 0 and 1)
When...
It can not be, it can not converge to in such way, moreover this is not convergence but similarity.
Similarity means that results are different with diffrent numbers of used random numbers, diffrent after diffrent statistic but similar starting with iffrent seeds.
I have code in fortran, compiled by f95. Code use random numbers.
To have everytime different rundom numbers I use different seeds generated at start of program by
call itime(timeArray) ! Get the current time
i = rand ( timeArray(1)+timeArray(2)+timeArray(3) )
Check...
I download i386 and X86-64 distribution of Fedora 8. I have Intel Core 2 Quad cpu. Which one is better for this cpu, i386 or X86-64 distribution?
Or, do you recomend me another linux (to have best performance for math/numerical simulations), which one exactly ?
From any application I open links in Opera (which is may default browser). But from icq I open links in IE, what I dont wish.
How I can fix it and open links from icq in Opera ?
Thanks for advices.
Just to note -same seeds everywhere. I chceck it also paranoidly by seeinf sequences of generated random numers. They are exaclty same.
I am suspicious that there was some changes between 4.0 and 4.1 in math libraries. So in calc of functions like sin, cos ... goniometric functions or...
Yes well same code, same implemenatation, same compiling give two different results (simmilar but different).
One for compilators:
gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20051125 + Red Hat 4.0.2-8
gcc 3.3.3 + SuSE Linux
Second result for compilators
gcc 4.1.0 20060304 + Red Hat 4.1.0-3
gcc 4.1.1 20070105...
Thank for answer. Let me understand.
Do you wanna say that different version of compilator has different random numbers generators (so older to 4.1 and another for version after 4.1) ?
I have different results (two different results) with same seeds.
On comps with
One results
gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20051125 + Red Hat 4.0.2-8, gcc 3.3.3 + SuSE Linux
and second result at
gcc 4.1.0 20060304 + Red Hat 4.1.0-3
gcc 4.1.0 20060304 + Red Hat 4.1.0-3 I have on differenct...
Do you realize guys that as years running, we have still more and more collers/fans in our computers. Funnny, I start just with passive cooled 486, and now :-D
If you have same code in which you generate random numbers but on different computers (CPUs) you obtain different results from this code (Monte Carlo simulations), what you try to do?
Lets note :
1. all test of random generators look good
2. code is running for enough big statitic
Comparison of Accelero-S1 with Thermalright HR-03, Zalman VF900-Cu, Zerotherm GX815
and Stock Sapphire cooler you can find in already mentioned review at abchw.com - http://www.abchw.com/content/v...igh-end-cooler-roundup
in chapter
http://www.abchw.com/content/comparative-graphs
I think that Zalman VF900-Cu is best solution now.
You can see comparison with others coolers for example at www.abcHW.com - here : http://www.abchw.com/node/19
