it started happening about 3 weeks ago. i've been checking my temps they are nothing to hot, i'll get a reading soon. and it's not even when it's on load. it did it when i last did it when i was watching a movie and went to close the window.

i wont even get to the post screen. it tries to boot for about 2 seconds. then keeps on trying and trying. normally when it does this after about 4-5 times it would boot into safe mode.

hello i overclocked my pc ages ago. yesturday it frozed so i restared it. but now it wont boot. it does the cycle of trying to reboot. but it doesnt even boot in safe mode like it should do, i've taken out the motherboard battery see if that would reset the bios setting, but it still doesnt...

rivatune

can anyone help me to understand rivatune. i would like to overclock my graphics card, but i dont know how too. I've used nTune to find optimal and sets my core bus to 700 and memory bus 1100, but it never saves the settings when i reboot. is rivatune the best software? if so, can someone...

my friends bought the DQ6 motherboard, is this motherboard specially designed for quadcores?, because he;s bought this but a E8650 cpu. i thought he would buy a DS board. is there much difference between a DS3/4 and a DQ6?

Q6600 on XP. Faster or Slower Than Vista?

i have BricoPack Vista Inspirat Ultimate 2 installed on XP, is that the same as vista transformation pack? mines been fine running this.

a suggestion is to clean and apply some new thermal paste on the cpu. But i'm no expert. still learning myself. :)

ah ok cheers mate! i tried the voltage at 1.4500 the firstime and it fail after 2 hours. i might just keep it as it is. i dont want to put to much stress on it. by lowering the volts. my temps have been fine, just under 60 on load. in games. idle cpu temps are 35c so i'm quite happy with...

After running Orthos for 18hrs, I did a a super pi test and my results passed 15m 32.234s (32) so i assume everthing is ok . i rebooted and went back into bios, and in system health my DDR18v says " FAIL ". It did this before. even when i changed my settings to default. so i updated my bios...

i'm reading the tread now :) but i've already changed my timing to 4-4-4-12 and doing orthos. it's been 1hr 5 mins. and you are right, i'm been to eager. if this one fails then i'll lower the timing.

i just changed the system voltages to manual and also did the timing to 5-5-5-12 my voltages are on speedfan.... Vcore 1.42, Vcore2 2.22, +3.3v 3.33. +5 4.89, +12 1.86...
