    thanks for the info guys. i'm kind of stuck on 1.5TB for reasons of space/cost. All 4 are now here. Initial error scanning shows 0 bad sectors on all 4. They'll be in a raid 10 array, so hopefully they'll do alright. I'm very disappointed with the lack of QA/QC coming out of WD lately.
