CPU Fan Error on bootup

If you say it's hooked up correctly, I'm wondering if you have it in the wrong spot? Perhaps you've plugged into a case fan header and are monitoring the wrong thing? The CPU fan error would usually be wrong the cpu fan plugged into the wrong header or plugged into a 4pin molex so the board...

Speedfan shows my 4 drive temps. 28c,27c,34c and 29c. I think the coolest ones are being directly blown across by my front 120. The topmost and bottom one get some of it and run hotter. But it should show all of his drives (since you mention speedfan). The Weather channel? I'm sorry you...

300watts should be fine for what you described. In fact overkill. Even a Quadcore Q6600 with 8800GTX doesn't pull more than 250w at load. His 430w should be fine even for this system. A Q9300 drops that to 222w with the same specs (2dimms, HD, dvd etc). Antec makes good PSU's. Reviews...

Need help choosing a CPU

No, it has 1/2 cache. Depending on app might mean nothing. But they're not the same. Also 4300 is 1.8ghz, 2140 is 1.6ghz. The 2160 is 1.8ghz but still 1/2 cache of 4300.

I think most of the time heat would be your problem well before you volted it to death (which is the largest portion of dead cpus). The cpu has built in heat protectors. If we abuse them they shutdown or lower speed. Volts though, that's another issue :) What are we all trying to do in here...

You can argue about my morals all you want. I haven't killed a chip from overclocking from Intel (yet) (always have after market or water also...IF it makes you feel better). But it only voids your warranty if you tell them you did it. IF more of us start killing them than they have figured...

Can a Celeron D 420 stock cooler cool an X3350?
