Does it reboot itself if enter the setup? If not your os could be damaged.

Laptop won't turn on without power

Sounds like bad connection between the battery and the computer, have you tried to disconnect it and clean to contacts?

Try to disconnect the battery and the power and if possible try to clean the button, maybe the connection is faulty.

If you have changed the DNS and it still not loading maybe the DNS cookiehost gave you is wrong? Have you verified that?
