Agreed! That's my point. I don't know why people are complaining that Blu-Ray is expensive. Regular DVD was expensive compared to VHS. You pay a premium for the latest and greatest which has always been the case.
I don't think blu-ray is out to cater to the "$10 DVD/$50 player" buyers. It's for people who can afford it and frankly the people that can't thinks that their opinion is gonna prevent other from buying it or that it matters.

So can some one explain to me why everybody goes after the video game industry when there is a shooting but nobody blames the gun manufacturers. I realize that people kill people but there is certainly a bias here.
I figure if you test a large enough population of games it doesn't matter if either Nvidia or ATI cheats since they can't possible optimize for every game. So in the end it should all even out anyways.
I never had high regards for Hardocp and the only reason I go there is for their frequently...
Seriously, I question people who post such low numbers. Too many variables that comes into play. If the computer works and it's stable then don't worry about it.

People don't care and will go out of their way to damage your car. Doesn't matter where I park, I always return with a big ass beat up pick up truck beside my car. I don't know, new cars are ding magnets.
Sweet idea. i don't suppose you can stroll down to Best Buy and grab the serial number of the a display model with the drive and use that to order one, although that would be wrong. :) Well I'm gonna hold out. Reminds me when DVD-ROM came out and now they are only selling for $20.
True true, but the xbox drive is big and bulky and is white which doesn't match my HTPC system. I may just hold out until the hybrid bluray/hd-dvd internal drives for the pc comes out. I'm just itching to watch Transformers in HD. :)
I'm looking for an alternative to the Xbox HD DVD drive. Will the following combination work? I was intending to buy a laptop HD-DVD drive and putting it into a slim drive enclosure. What do you guys think?
