i'm wondering how to calibrate the 226bw (or any other lcd for that matter) without having to drop $100 on one of those calibration devices. is there a settings file that can be edited with the settings from someone else's calibration?

thermal adhesive removal

i guess that could work as long as you get past the break in period and don't bump the sinks. doing a couple of days of light activity to get past the watery stage before gaming would probably cure it enough for that.

i bet adding a little standard as would lessen the strength of the bond, but it would seem thermal tape would be the best option. do they carry that at radio shack or a staples/office type store? i don't have anything else to order, yet, so i'm hoping to not spend money on shipping for a solo...

agreed, but for older tv shows and the baby einstein stuff, 4:3 is it. i just don't want my child to grow trying to learn shapes that are distorted ;)

nm, i'm an idiot. it just occurred to me to fire up super pi and push on the sides of the block to see which was which. temps are now as they should be. for the record, it seems that core 0 is on the side with the locking bar and core 1 is on the opposite side.

fuzion and mounting

so i'm trying to get the best mount on my naked opty 170 with the fuzion, but can't seem to get the right mix. under load, my core 1 temp is pretty consistently 8C higher than the core 0 under load as reported by core temp. idle temps show core 1 being 1-2C higher. anyone have tips on...

i finally realized it was the ram voltage as you suggested, serpent. i must have put it too far down when i went to my summer clock, which, now that i think about it, was when the problems first started....doh! thanks for pointing me in the right direction :D

none of the options corrects the problem. i just got off the phone with tech support for the second one and they gave me the same answer that was given to me for the first one. they say that there should be an option on the dvd that changes it :\ i know there must be a dvd player other than...

a8n32-sli deluxe cold boot problem

i have the coolermaster realpower 550. it has a power meter that never gets anywhere near the rated wattage...although who knows how accurate that is. the only other psu i have is a 500 watt phantom, which should be able to fire the system, but really isn't intended for oc'ed/gaming comps...
