Help AMD 690G with slow USB transfer speed <8mb/s

I did update the Ati catalyst drivers regularly. last update was two months ago. Never tested usb transfer speed until recently. Maybe, I should update it again to see if newer driver makes any difference. What bio setting can possibly affect the USB transfer speed?

front panel audio header cables are too short

Trying to hook up this new system unfortunately. The Skyhawk case's front panel audio/microphone header cables are too short. They couldn't reach the audio headers which are located near the USB port near the back of my ECS 848P motherboard. What can I do to correct this problem?

Hows wireless and online gaming?

You should either go with a 900mhz or 5.8Ghz wireless phone to avoid intereference with your 2.4Ghz router. It is true that not all 2.4Ghz wireless telephone will interfere with your router but some (Panasonics doesn't but Vtech does) do.

Which is better Inspiron 6000 or HP zv6000

Don't worry about the weight issue. From my experience, 80% of the college laptop users just leave their laptop in their dorm/apartment. If you're one of those people that must have your own laptop wherever you go, then I suggest you buy an ultra thin laptop that weighs around 4 pounds.

Need help on which to buy AMD/Intel

Tomshardware an extensive review which demonstrate that AMD64 system in general consumes less power and dissipate less heat than P4EE system in general. Not to mention that you will get more computing power per dollar spend on a AMD processor than an Intel processor.
