Old Rig, new games...

Ive never really overclocked before...any idea how much OC´ing this CPU will take on stock cooling? the GPU has a great aftermarket cooler on it, so I could probably tweak it a bit too...Is it worth it? Will it actualy make games like the witcher playable?

vista over-working my hard drive?

Ok, cheked out speedfan. Under the SMART tab, it doesnt show any hard drives for me to run the test on!. Could this be the ptoblem? How can I fix this?

im using a Western Digital Caviar RE WD3200YS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb. Can you give be a bit more specific on your suggestions? whats is the "swapfile"? Ive never tried speedfan but im gonna look into it now and let you know the results. Thanks for the help!

Im actually getting the Soyo 24' on black friday for $250. Believe me, I had a hard enough time convincing my wife that we need a 24' monitor... a 30' would certainly put my ass on the couch for a few nights! :)

24' running at 1600?

Im buying a 24' monitor this week, and I am looking to testing out my brandnew system on crysis. I dont think my 8800 GT will be able to handle playing the game at the native resolution of the monitor, so if I have to, can I set the resolution down? Will it look like crap? I obviously dont know...
