Thinking about going to an HDTV as a monitor

Just make absolutely certain that any such LCD HD TV wouldn't have significant amounts of input lag.

Unable to create 3 TB Bootable Raid0

MBR only supports up to 2TB. GUID can support more than 2TB but it won't be bootable. Besides, 3 x 1TB RAID 0 in my honest opinion is a terrible idea and just asking for trouble.

Does adding system RAM increase integrated graphics performance?

Nope. Same way that more VRAM doesn't translate as the only factor of a graphics adapter's performance, adding more system RAM to benefit an integrated graphics adapter is akin to using a hard disk as system RAM; there's just too much latency. Not to mention that IGPs are crippled and crap...

Can RAID disks be faster than SSD?

In throughput? Yes, a RAID array can thoroughly beat a single SSD. In access time? Never in a million years. Now, if you want real performance, try RAID'ed X25-Es. :Q

    Please suggest

The reason why people are telling you to bite the bullet and upgrade the rest of your system is that upgrading to a more powerful single component does no good if you are bottlenecked by other, older components like your CPU. A lot of computing purchases are about minimizing the bottleneck, and...

    Dell U2410

http://www.cnet.com.au/dell-ul...rp-u2410-339298064.htm CNet (I know, I know) has input lag testing at the bottom of the review if this would interest any of you.

Connecting a stand alone DVD player to a LCD Monitor??

A U2410 for just DVD playback is a waste, IMO. Play it on your computer and then use the U2410 for other things, because a $600 H-IPS monitor isn't going to do any justice if you're going to be using it for just DVD playback. ;) For sound, a Dell Sound Bar may be appropriate, but they don't...

    Choosing a SATA II controller

Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 if you want eight ports on PCIe, though you'll need to get ~$15 SFF-8086 SAS-to-SATA breakout cables to connect to your PC. Still, for ~$100 with clean cable management and simplicty, that can't be beat. Of course, there's the AOC-SAT2-MV8, which is a PCI-X card (that...

    TB + sized HDD?

If you've gotta ask that, then your current hard drive's gotta really suck. ;) HDDs will not be the bottleneck for FPS unless if the game utilizes methods to load textures on-the-fly during gameplay to minimize actual load periods. 5,400 RPM drives have plenty of sequential read speeds but in...

    Another RAID 0 question?

Yes, you have to reinstall Windows. Yes, more than likely, you'll have to mount drivers during the install so it recognizes the array in the setup.

Intel G2 available but is NewEgg gouging?

There are always going to be moaning about hardware people can't afford. This effect seems to be amplified when the prices of said hardware goes up, as if they EXPECT low prices. Simple solution: find another competitor and don't pay Newegg's ludicrous prices for their SSDs.

video card upgrade: good or bad?

Is there some reason why you think you'd need an upgrade? A 9800GTX+ isn't a slow card and it should be enough for games like Call of Duty or WoW, unless you're gaming at like 2560x1600 or something. If you really do want to upgrade your video card, though, I would wait for AMD's new cards to...

    Another RAID 0 question?

What is your onboard RAID controller? ICH9/10R? NVRAID? JMicron? What? EDIT: Just noticed your signature; assuming you're using that setup, your RAID is based on NVRAID, which is notoriously bad at RAID 0. You may want to consider enabling write caching in advanced properties for your drives...

Anyway I can get my LCD to run @ 64hz in Win7?

I hope you enjoy the massive amounts of input lag that inherently comes with interpolation so the LCD HD TV marketers can claim "120Hz" or "240Hz" EDIT: Also, I think yusux fails at understanding sarcasm.

Which DDR2 memory should I get?

No need to get faster memory if you're not overclocking. Get the DDR2-800 cheap stuff as Yellowbeard stated; they should be fine, if not more than enough.

    Seagate hard drive is loud

Make sure your drive is mounted well in your case, it could very well be acoustic vibration. That being said, I have 10 of these in a server and I've found that these drives aren't particularly loud, but they're probably louder than any WD Green drive that you may have. As long as it's not...

    Hard Drive Toast?

Hard drives don't come back from failure to be used reliably for long periods of time. Treat them as commodity items, and as such, require replacement the moment they exhibit faulty behavior of any sort, or risk losing your data.

    WD Black vs. Green

If your drive can limit eSATA, I want to know what drive you're using. In other words, it's not an eSATA bottlenecking issue. In terms of sequential read performance, there really isn't a huge difference between the WD Caviar Black series versus the Caviar Greens, the only real difference is...

I can't claim to have SSDs in RAID 0 with hardware RAID controllers, but if my experience with HDDs in RAID 0 on onboard controllers vs. hardware controllers, there's not much difference. Perhaps there is a big difference that I'm not sure about, or maybe the RAID algorithm is just that much...

    dell E2210H 22 ?

Cheap TN panel and mediocre build quality. LED backlighting isn't really special anymore. Maybe in late 2007/early 2008, but with laptops being LED backlit as a standard feature and a few Dell monitors (G2210/G2410) being LED backlit for around that price as well, there's nothing really to...

Hardware based RAID controllers and SSD...

You don't need expensive hardware RAID controllers for RAID 0. Especially on ICH10R, which in itself is a fairly capable simple-RAID controller. Really, at this point, if you were to get a hardware RAID controller for your SSDs, you'd only be throwing your money away. The RAID controllers you...

    Swapping HDD to new box

You're better off reinstalling Windows. As for disk imaging, a good software tool is Acronis True Image Home, but that's more for if you're swapping your OS partition from one drive to another, not from computer-to-computer, which would have different hardware, and in turn, different drivers...
