Question Good 600 series motherboards /w bios flashback for 13th gen CPU?

It's tempting to go DDR5, but it's a bit over budget. Both boards above are DDR 4, and for my content creation work better to have 64Gb of 4 rather than 32Gb of 5. Wouldn't mind stepping up from a Prime board though since it's still in the box, say ~$50 or so. Don't need WiFi. [Expecting to...

I've been buying their PSU's since 2007 without a problem. As for customer support, the chat person I spoke with was Sam and the service and help was about the best I've encountered.

Indeed, and having taken apart an older system sufficiently to use the old PSU to power up the new system, it shut down as advertised. Building these things is easy, but quality control or the lack thereof, makes the whole process something of a nightmare a bit too frequently.

Seems to run fine, but for that one flaw. I upgraded myself to their Strix version. Not sure it was necessary, but since I was there. I expect it will be a '60s light show, although I'm hoping not.

Having trouble trying to fix this. When I shut the system down, whether from Start menu or Power button, the case and cooling fans keep running. The only way to turn them off is to shut off power at the PSU. I've reset CMOS via the jumpers per ASUS spec and reviewed Windows power options...

I've seen one review/example where there is some room to massage RAM clocks although I've not attempted that (yet, or perhaps not).

Yup, just don't need that extra power consumption for a small boost and all cores at all times for what I'm doing. If I was doing more rendering maybe, but not so much these days. Funny you mention auto because I've taken opportunity to keep CPU-Z up during day to day activities and noticed it...

Yeah, 3 120mms atm, pulling from front pushing from back. Cooler radiator fan pulls air down from above. Thanks for the info. I'd seen a review with similar complaint.

I tend to agree, and I didn't really follow that sound advice when beginning my OC testing. I can't recall now if I backtracked later by doing only the manual CPU stepping. I'm sure I did a couple of tests that way because I have a saved profile, but probably did those with too little voltage...

Thanks for the replies. I feel a better being stable at 4k. Seems like most everything I was reading left the impression that 4.2ghz was standard OC. My temps actually at 28c at idle and 58c under load, which is good now that 4k appears the standard give or take 100mhz. I'm not a bencher...

Any opinion about the abit IP35 Pro Rev. 1.1 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX? It looks interesting. Highest ranked in the MB section here, for midranges. Then again, the Gigabyte board was too when I purchased it. So little time, so little knowledge. :) I'll ask for opinions there too.

Yes, but read that last solution. Turn off, pull the plug and wait 10 minutes. I gave it 20. Worked like a charm. Now foolish, impetuous me also throught to disconnect the e-sata setup too, while I was giving it time to heal itself (smirks). So, it's not a valid test of the solution...
