<< Why by a separate controller if you can get the RAID board for about the same price if not less and have the option to upgrade to RAID in the future? >>
Mostly for convenience when it comes time to upgrade to another motherboard. Instead of paying a premium each time for onboard raid...
use google.com or something and search for "7v mod".
There are plenty of tutorials. Basically you need to connect the fan's black wire and connect it to the psu's red wire. (from this to this.)
Your temp files are trashed. Go to internet options>temporary internet files> and delete everything. You may also want to clear your history. That'll cure everything.
Well, I break in a new hd by connecting to another computer for a few days or so and use it to keep temp files. Just to be safe I wouldn't transfer important files on to a brand new hd.(from experience:()
<< Don't forget luck. >>
Yeah..seems like getting a good one is like flipping a coin. My friend's board died about 3months in. Luckily he bought it from mwave and was able to get it replaced. It's been running smoothly since.
I've filled carts for that exact printer. Refilling the black carts was easy. You basically have to enlarge the pre-existing hole on the top of the cartridge, and then insert the needle of a syringe and fill.
The color on the otherhand was difficult. It didn't take much to contaminate the...
I've used the 2200 for a bit over a week now and after 1200+pages it's still going on strong. I can't believe how much time i've saved. There's a world of difference between an injet's "5 pages per minute" vs. the magicolor's 5 pages a minute.
<< Good lord, a 30% overclock. WTG! >>
Not to be picky but it's closer to ~44% overclock. Anyway, whatever, i'm over it.:) These low speed Northwoods remind me of the first durons. My friends and I easily overclocked 600mhz to 1Ghz(~66% overclock).
I'd go with Mwave for bundles because you'd get an auto 1 year warranty directly with them. So no dealing with 3week+ wait times with motheboard manufacturers.
<< Where can one buy the Glaciator / Glaciator II (and which is better?)? >>
You can get it right from the source@http://www.millennium-thermal.com/ The Glaciator II is marginally better. The main difference is the lighter weight. I'd save some money and get the GI.
Hmm, a computer on the cheap. How about:
ECS K7S5A/Durn [email]bundle@"]Mwave. That's around ~110 w/ 1 year warranty and cheapo heatsink. the board accepts both type of ram so that's a plus...and the warranty WILL protect you in case you get a flaky mboard.
Any Cheapo floppy ~15
Enlight case...
Well, how about option 4? Stick with what you have. I don't think you'll feel much a difference with any of your proposed upgrades. Well it's up to you, I wouldn't upgrade just for upgrading sake. I'd save up for a mature t-bred. Things don't really look interesting till hammer.
At this point in time, i wouldn't settle for a board with ata100. New boards are-a-coming. Breaking the 128GB barrier is a BIG plus.
<< With no drive capable of burst rates greater than 80MB/s from buffer, and none capable of sustained transfer rates greater than 42MB/s, there is usually...
JUMP ON THIS. I thought it was a steal at 20bucks, now at 17.50 there's no doubt it's the best deal on the market. I think i'm going to get another.
If you check out the pics between the GI and GII the major difference is a chunk of the bottom's missing. Now where's my dremel lol....
I'm looking to build a mini computer too. If I had the money I'd get a Chilli Pro case. It's pretty pricey though. I'll probably end up getting a black Casper II from Directron. That case is really small, and actually look half decent compared to other cases.
<< Unfortunately i didnt have the warranty or receipt. I some how lost it during the move back after graduation. >>
Um what?
The warranty information (aka serial and model numbers) is ON the harddrive label. Your drive had 3 years of warranty...shame....
<< Actually, ideally water blocks should have small hose connects to allow for high pressure, which improves cooling. >>
I've read a lot of conflicting info on this subject. What's your proof?
Anyway, back to the z4. The kit only comes with a 145gph rio pump. IMO there are better kits out...
If I were you I'd get the board and cpu as a bundle@MWave. That way you'll get a 1 year warranty. You never know with the K7s5a. My friend's K7s5a died after 2months of use, and the 1 year warranty saved his ass.
