The other thing you can do for WMP is to find the image somewhere (on your computer, or the internet, whichever) and drag and drop it into the spot for album art on WMP.

The temp one gets on Orthos or Prime95 couldn't mean less to me, because rarely, if ever, am I going to reach that temperature in real-world applications. The IFX does a fine job, in my opinion.

If you're trying to say I'm a liar, you're not very good at it. Orthos temps get up to around 54C on blend, Core temps being ~65C. If you read a bit closer, you'd see I said I was idling at 32C.

Kind of an old thread, but what the hell. I have the IFX-14 on a Q6600, overclocked to 3.60 GHz, 1.456 Vcore, and I'm idling at 32-33 degrees celsius, core temps from 38-48, depending on load. http://i81.photobucket.com/alb...ro%20Hour/bbb33f28.jpg...

Antec 900 questions

I'm impressed, that looks good. Kinda sucks that you had to ditch that fan for it, though. Then again, I'm an absolute air-cooling junkie, hence why I bought the case in the first place. I don't mind that my case sounds like a jet engine. It's on 24/7, so I never really notice it.

Do you play your games with VSYNC?

I use it (LCD) and I've never noticed any performance hit. Ever since I played Prey, I've been using Vsync religiously. Without it, that game tore like nothing else. :S

Gaming in Vista 32-bit

As more and more DirectX10 games are released, though, Vista will soon take XP's place. I still have an XP installation on my other hard drive, though the only times I access it are for either recording music, or playing Age of Empires II at a LAN party. For some reason, in only that game...

Portal!

I really hope they incorporate the Portal technology in Half-Life 2: Episode 3 in some really cool way. That or Valve releases more challenge maps to keep the game interesting. As much fun as it was, it kinda left me begging for more. Still, I give it a 5/5 because it was such a bitchin' game.

Gigabyte GA-DS3L BIOS settings for newbies

Rocky, I have the same board and processor as you do, and for stock speeds, you shouldn't have to change a thing. Mine boot up on the first try when I built it, and all the speeds were set right. :)

What CPU cooler to use for OC'ing a Q6600?

For the thermal compound, I would recommend Arctic Silver 5. I've heard great things about both those coolers, but I actually went with a ThermalRight IFX-14, so there's another one to look at. Expensive, and no included fan, so weigh the pros and cons accordingly. Also, it's big! If you want...
