Why no GeForce3 reviews?

probably because there aren't even any "official" working drivers yeah, yeah, WHQL 12.00's the anisotropic is still messed up, and a lot of people (myself included) have had stability problems with them. Tried them in win98 last night in 3dmark2001, and WH0000000T! You shoulda seen...

How important is RAMDAC speed to 2D quality?

RAMDAC indicates how high of a resolution, what color depth, and @ what refresh rate your card can handle a 270 MHz RAMDAC with high quality properly implemented filters will look far far better than a 500 MHz RAMDAC with lower quality filters.

Question about dual-booting w98 and w2k

I'd like to install all my apps for both systems to the same directory i.e. I want to install quake3 (for example) to e:\quake3 from win98 and then boot into win2k and install it to the same place from there, so that the files aren't doubled on my hard drive(s) and so that they don't take up...

Why do I have 2 Win2k choices in my dual boot setup menu?

I have win98 SE installed on C:\ I rebooted with the wink boot disks, and installed windows 2000 pro w/sp1 to d:\ when I rebooted, I booted directly to win2k, no option for the boot menu so I figured I'd just install win98 again, so I went to do so, but I kept blue screening so I ended up...

Det. 12. drivers

supposedly, the OpenGL extnesion for anisotropic filtering is included, and you can enable anistropic in the driver control panel it sure doesn't work in the version I downloaded, which was supposedly the WHQL version

GeForce / KK266 owners.....please read....

Under Windows 2000 SP1, I cannot get either 3dMark2000 or 2001 to run on either my Ultra or Ge3. driver revisions include 10.80, 11.01, 12.00 or 12.10. everything else runs perfectly. I mean, perfectly! even up to 234/540 on the Ge3 and 285/510 on the Ultra Anyone else having issues like...

How can I get coolbits to go higher?

It only goes up to 250 for my GeForce3 Ultra. I must go higher and see how high this insane piece of equipment can go. C'MON DAMMIT, HELP ME OUT HERE GUYS!!!!!!! I don't want to try powerstrip unless it already has been made specifically compatible with the GeForce3

GeForce Video Problems - Screen Flashes Flickers Periodically

I get this same thing in UT D3d, 3dmark2001 at the beginning of the truck chase scene, and all throgh MBTR try those games/demos if you don't mind. I'm using 6.50, BTW did your buddies have 3dfx cards in their systems prior? did any of you do complete formats b4 installing the gf's?

Unreal, Quake2 and Quake3 are already done bro ;) Quake3 is at the highest level of detail it can be made, according to "The Carmack" Quake2, I just copied the stuff that oldfart posted to another thread. Ben, the image quality beyotch that he is, was pleased with those settings...

well, I planned on doing an entire driver comparison for the Ultra. However, just in the last week, I've seen 3 of them that seem to indicate the only real difference for the Ultra in overall framerate is in 3dm2k and 2k1, so no biggie, eh? :) I'm going to redo the Serious Sam benches tho...

yes, but all RAM is not created equal. example - 6ns infineon on the GTS 32MB didn't overclock NEARLY as well as the 6ns Hyundai on the GTS 64MB

What up with GF2 Pro card in price guide?

this is an issue that I've been harping about quite a bit lately don't even bother with the pro grab the ultra instead, it's only about $40 more expensive i'll be doing a very direct comparison-writeup shortly :) and yes, the Pro is supposed to have 5ns DDR, not 5.5ns
