None. Until Windows gets it's act together with proper scaling, you're just wasting processing power with a display greater than 100 - 110ppi. Even with OS X proper scaling, I don't think the image quality benefits are worth the increased processing power.

I would not reccomend a X1650 at all. It probably isn't going to be a whole lot better than your 9800 Pro was. I'd hit eBay & try to snag a X1950, otherwise snag a used 9800 Pro or XT.

If you're not running games on it then you don't need to upgrade. 8800GT is still quite the decent card out right now. Unless there comes a time when you have a killer game that you must play & it runs crappy on your 8800GT, then you should upgrade at that time.
