Pretty sure Sithsolo got me my LTI package back in 2013, been a while haha
Edited for poor memory...
I bit -- not needed but it'll give me something to play around with this fall/winter. For going SLI I think it's a good deal, I paid $550 a year ago for the same card. If you're not adding to an existing system there's probably better options.
Stock card on air -- from what I gathered from the Classy thread (Overclock.net) what I was seeing was fairly average/slightly above for this card.
I do have the voltage pushed as far as it'll go in Precision, but it's not much I don't think -- I'd have to look at it again as it's been a...
Bought mine a year and a half ago as well, and I've been really happy with it - it's simply gorgeous. Of course, I've only had cheap TN's prior so the bar was low.
Mine will do 120, but it whines too much for my liking up there. Run mine at 96 Hz and the whine goes away -- I personally...
FWIW, I haven't ran into any VRAM issues with my 3 GB 780 at 25x16 thus far on any of the AAA titles. Max I've probably seen is 2.4 GB via Precision and that was on a heavily modded Skyrim. BF4/ESO/others rarely ever seem to break 2 GB.
Obviously that will probably change going forward...
Inventory management is really breaking my balls - I spend a third of my time juggling bank/mule space just so I can go out and quest again.
WTB crafting material tab a la Guild Wars I.
Nice, the first one was a gem -- especially if you got it during one of the Steam sales. I'll definitely pick this up once I see it discounted, backlog is already ridiculous.
If you're still buying a branded gaming headset you're doing it wrong -- spend what you can on a good set of cans (head-fi.org forum is a good place to research) and add a ModMic.
Senny 558's + mic of your choice. The 598's if you're feeling flush. I used to run a headset, but after switching to dedicated cans and a separate mic there's no going back.
I feel you OP -- definitely struggle with that myself a lot. Definitely a first world problem, but when you spend 1/3 or more of your time at work you'd like it to be something you enjoy.
Maybe go back to school at night or online (MBA or something?) I was able to do it on the company's dime...
Have a Cutlass, may spring for the Starfarer Monday. Having a hauler was always beneficial in Eve, I can't see it not being similar in SC. You might see a PM from me Sith, not interested in paying the new backer tax.
I got Staples to price match via live chat. $217.02 shipped for me with 8.517% tax.
Not a huge upgrade over my 4670, but that price can't be beat. Hell, I paid more than that for the 4670.
Green dot is the first round. It's big because for each plot they run 200 (I'm guessing, I'm sure they state it somewhere) or so simulations. The other colors are the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc rounds fired.
So in theory, since we can control vertical recoil on the PC by pulling back on the mouse...
Perhaps, but they did a good job balancing it in BF3. As an assault weapon it would have been counter productive to the G3. In BF4 there isn't even a choice right now for a low ROF/high dmg gun. /lame
Edit: I was wrong, the ACE 52 has what I'm talking about -- need to get that unlocked.
I find TTK a useless metric as it assumes all of your rounds are hitting the target. Low weapon TTK's typically mean high ROF which in turn get high spread values to balance out. At short ranges ACW is sweet, at medium to long it's bad. In short, it depends on your playstyle as well as do you...
Great performance, can't deny that. I personally couldn't deal with 480 levels of heat/noise though -- did that once, and I won't be repeating that mistake ever again. Worst graphics card purchase of my life and I even game on cans. I found AT's normalized charts pretty telling though --...
Played for 3-4 hours last night and not one crash/disconnect -- first time that's happened. You might avoid 64 player servers for the moment as it seems like those have the most problems with crashing/lag. I'm rarely seeing an issue on 32 and under.
And damn there's a lot of whining in this...
I want to see a real review that shows this in the retail release -- a few percent maybe, but 10%+? I'm having a hard time believing that. The beta ran like ass on my rig in W7 -- low GPU/high CPU usage. Retail has been the opposite, similar to BF3. 99% GPU usage and ≈70% CPU.
10%...
I don't think it's the end of the world if you're gaming on 2GB right now -- I doubt you're losing much, hopefully retail BF4 benches will answer definitively.
However, I do cringe whenever I see someone post that they just bought a 770 -- not seeing a lot of logic in that decision at this...
Classified worth the $40 premium over the lightning/HOF for air? I can't find a reason to not pull the trigger on one of these to hold me over till Maxwell.
 Metro was the worst designed map I've ever played in the BF series, all the way back to 1942. Hell, they couldn't even get the starting distances correct. Epic fail.
They're pretty much forcing you to play SP if you want the weapon unlocks though - I don't think there's any...
I'm in the same boat -- seriously considering just throwing down on the 780 Lightning and calling it a day. I'm growing tired of scanning video card forums for hours every day waiting for the next review/launch/delay/rebadge/new sku/etc. :hmm:
1440p @ 96Hz. 60 -> 96 I can tell a noticeable difference, 96 ->120 not so much and I don't want to push my luck with this monitor.
Currently running the 680 in my sig, but I'm looking to upgrade in the next month. The old girl just doesn't have the muscle to keep 96 frames going consistently...
Played a few rounds over lunch. Game looks much better, and performance has been greatly improved - at least a 20 fps increase for me from beta at 1440P. I had to download new drivers (331.65's) as the other ones released last week gave me "disco lights" on pretty much everything. New drivers...
GPU usage is better for me now, I don't get the dropping down to 10% usage spike every 45 seconds. But, now I crash out every ten minutes. Think I've had my fill of the beta - looking forward to retail.
I'm getting similar on my rig, but I've noticed it's also server dependent for some reason. Humming along at 60-80 FPS and then it'll drop to 20 for a split second (essentially GPU usage plummets) and then right back to where it was.
Rolled back to 320.49 last night and it wasn't as bad, but...
