Help with WINDOWS98 lagging after no use.....

I turned off Turn off Hard Disks, and turned off the power save on the monitor. THe monitor still shuts off, and when I have to turn it back on, windows lags really badly and there isnt anything that works to get it back going except to restart. When I mean lags, I mean the icons on the...

40 GB MAXTOR HDD expiriences

I bought that very drive, the Maxtor 40 gig 7200rpm Diamond Max 60 drive. Had it for bout 5 days now, and it seems everybit as fast as my old IBM 45gig 75gxp that died on me! Not a bad drive at all!

What Hard drive should I get, my 75gxp died.....

Yeah, the Maxtor drive sounds pretty good. Its only .4ms slower, but I think I would be getting more reliability from Maxtor. And then too I can always keep my IBM and try to make it work. I was thinking of using a static bag and opening it up and working on it.........haha, or not, but...

What Hard drive should I get, my 75gxp died.....

I feel unsafe with IBM, but the 40 gig 60gxp looks good. I was also looking at the 40 gig maxtor drive, the 60 series I beleive. Would I see any performance difference on the drives with a 1.2 ghz athlon, and geforce 2 ultra, and 256 megs of pc133 ram? I am going to see if IBM or where I...

HD made a REALLY WEIRD noise, what the heck happened?

So lets say this drive dies on me, what should I do? What HD should I get to replace it thats just as fast and good? I am getting all my stuff backed up on a RW right now! LOL. Thanks!

Yup, mines a 75GXP, and, it was running hot. I did a case mod to get more air to around the HD so it should run cooler now. Thanks for the info, I just hope it runs good and ok!! I had it about 6 months now and this is the first hicup its given me!

I was playing a game and the game froze, i figure, no biggie, random lockup, cant CTRL ALT DEL, so I reset it, and when the computer is running scan disk, its going slow, then it tries to go into windows and I heard the HD making a scratching like sound. I have never heard it do this before, it...

Enlight EN-7237 300W or Inwin S508 300W

I have the 7237 with no regrets!! I love mine, everything fits great with my Abit KT7A-RAID mobo. Good cooling and love the slide rails on it too!! Great Case for me!

Ever overclock something thats not a computer?

Man, the only thing I plan on doing besides putting a 92mm front fan is putting in a blowhole, you got me beat 10 fold!!!! HEHE...get some pics of all this when you get it done!

I'm just too sexy for my new Enlight 7237.........

I was thinking of jsut cutting out the plastic in teh front and putting a air filter on and a mess gaurd of some sort to get air in the front easier, couldnt be too hard and will keep dust from sucking into the case!! LOL

Why does @Home suck for people

Why does @Home suck for people

I to live in CO and love it!! But I hate them!! They sent me an email saying they are capping me at 128kps now, when now, I am getting 1000kps about. It makes me mad why they have to do this, they say it wont affect the average user, but what about the online gamers???? Like me, we need good...

I can't get abit kt7a stable...

I have a 1.2ghz tbird and abit kt7a raid, and run my tbird at 1.2 with 9x133 to get 133FSB and its rock stable for me!

And let me add that I OCed the FSB up to 133, running 9x133 multiplier, keeping the core running at 1200.

I have this case with a 1.2ghz and I added a extra 80mm rear exhaust fan in the stock hole for it, and have the stock one in front. Runs around 39C for me but thats with a FOP32 also. System runs around 20C. Very cool system and I love the case, its soo easy to get in and out of it, and trust...

Best NASCAR race I've seen in years!!!

Is that fairly accurate of an idle temp? I have a FOP-32 and get around 40C on it. The system temp is 30C. Is that fairly accurate you think? I have a Enlight 7237 with 80mm intake fan in the front (stock) and 80mm rear exhaust fan. Thanks!

What a difference cleaning out the dust can be!

Just take it out to an air compressor if you have one and blast away!! LOL

1.2 ghz coming home tomorrow, what board would you use?

I love my Abit KT7A-RAID, was easy for me to get up to 133fsb. Rock Solid stablity for me. It doesnt have DDR but its a great baord.

Klipsch 4.2 (2 subwoofers!) $299 - originally $399!

Yeah, We have 2 10" 250 watt Definitive Tech subs for our home theater. 1 on each side, they are great. Mine though I was lucky to get and am really glad that I did. But for computer speakers that are made for them, the Klipsch is the best sounding that I have heard!
