Google contacts really needs tags instead of groups. What I'd like to do is send an email to a subset of the group that I have saved under a physical location. (eg Running partners in San Diego) With the current setup, I would need a separate group for that and duplicate all the Runners...

Perhaps, though I haven't had too many problems so far. I am not tied to it being an RSS reader if there was some other way to organize commonly read sites by subject/tags in a single dashboard style interface with headlines of the articles at minimum.

Sudden AHCI problem with Gigabyte motherboard

Ok so I updated firmware (destructive flash to 1.7 which did a sanitary erase) and now can get past the AHCI driver part in the BIOS but I am getting an error as it tries to boot from the Windows install dvd "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter"

I should add that I have read in the manual about making a SATA/RAID/AHCI driver diskette. However, I have installed windows at least 3 other times and never had any issue using the SSD in AHCI mode.

I cannot boot into Windows unfortunately. At this point, I am considering a complete reinstall of windows. Maybe use a linux cd to copy all my data off. It is going to be a real pain to re-install everything with settings so I'll try a few more AV options first.

That is along the lines of what I was thinking so I will try this tonight. Didn't want to take a chance that I wouldn't be able to boot from my cluttered USB drive so burned the Kaspersky file to disc. Hope this gets me at least back to functional to do further cleaning as you suggested.

Looking for a cheap video camera that can record several hours

SD, it would need to be continuous monitoring. I'll look into the cheap USB option. I was wary of that because the laptop is already recording two different data streams, both at 1Hz, and thought it might be too much being recorded to one hard drive.

No frills or bells or whistles This will literally sit on a tripod in a room and record for about 8 hours. It would be nice if it could hold charge and keep the video in memory but connecting to a laptop might be an option. How much am I looking at here and from where? TIA
