Thanks for the help. I know that when you setup a RAID array, most controllers want to initialize it. Will that process setup the existing array and not delete anything? I guess I can experiment with some other drives first.

An X2 CPU is a pretty cheap upgrade and a lot of games can take advantage of the dual cores. The X1950 is a pretty decent card so I'm not sure I'd spend the cash to upgrade to a 3850 on an older machine, even with an X2. Save the cash until you're ready to get a new Core 2 system.
Marty, you ought to look into an X2 for your system. I have a Toledo core 4200 running at 3.0GHz and I think the 2nd core could help you push that 1950 a lot harder.
