I'll whip out Diablo and its expansion pack Hellfire once in awhile.
And to use my waaay back machine I use an emulator to play old sega console games - Phantasy Star was lots of fun and nostalgia brings me back now and then.
I've run into problems getting past crowds too. Found that if you briefly click on the offenders blocking your way they will spout off a quick sentance as they then walk away. Best way to clear out an area - must have bad breath or something ;)
The Witcher - great storyline and the gameplay is pretty fun. Surprising how little actual combat you need to be involved in though in areas I'm expecting to get whomped on. Note that unlike many RPGs there isn't as much loot to collect and I rather like amassing a fortune from killing bad...
You'll be happy you grabbed the witcher. I only buy 1 game a year or so and am pretty picky in what I choose. Then I end up playing the heck out of it. The witcher is the best RPG I've come across since Torment - which was fantastic!
I'll give it a try with Blizzard+silver+strong. It's whooped my butt every time and thought I just had to avoid it - didn't think I would be able to kill it.
Ah, that explains the slow load times as I was moving from one area to another for the first time. Spent more time with this last night and indeed saw significant improvement in load times in various situations. Specifically you can save your game MUCH faster now and just entering and exiting...
I grabbed this case from newegg waaaay to soon and paid a premium for it. Having said that, I'm still 100% pleased with it. Great looking, the fans do an excellent job keeping my system cool and still pretty quiet under severe strain while gaming!
I've noticed a lot fewer crashes with the patch installed. But it hasn't made any difference for me in the load times. Worth downloading and installing just to get rid of some of the bugs.
Already closed stores near us in Seattle. Nearest one available is around 150 miles away in Portland. Hhmmm, no state tax there plus discounts might be an incentive to take the wife on a short 'getaway' to Portland this weekend...
