Did anyone else notice whenever the guy looked at the GPS it was always the same screen -- not even a map! It was just that screen that lets you see what sattellites you have a lock on and the battery indicator. Uuuuggggh. The movie wasn't very good. Gas freezing in the fuel lines? Yeah...

How accurate is this statement?

I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I will try: 1) Yes, every engine has a "optimal" RPM (usually 3000 ish). But there is NO WAY a hybrid gets anything close to 90 mpg. I just read a story that hybrids gas mileage is much lower than advertised. Back to optimal RPMs, most cars are geared...

VirtualMac on PC?

There are plenty of great emulators for the 68k Macs but those are OLD. The only "decent" PPC emu is PearPC which is still quite incomplete.

Anyone use Mack's Silicone Ear Plug things?

Never had experience with silicone ones, I like the foam ones fine though. I have stuck so far in my ear I couldn't get them out with my fingers and had to had a friend use pliers but I still hear fine.

I need help from Atlanta, GA natives!

Just stay on I-75 the whole time. If 75 is bogged down, so will 285 which is less direct. Traffic starts getting "sticky" around 3PM.

are there many colleges that require the SAT instead of the ACT?

There is a conversion table. ACT is mainly mid west schools. But if you are applying to an east or west coast school, I recommend taking SAT too, just so its easier for them to compare...

Got a Gamecube but one last question.

Are speedometers always off by percentages?

My speedometer is very accurate as I have verified it with a GPS. There are a number of reasons accuracy can change, though. If you have the wrong size of tires, it will be off quite a bit.

Dell Axim Advice

Good point on the CS classes. I will be taking some and it seems kind of pointless to write out code you will be retyping. Yeah, I figured a lot of people just used them as expensive MP3 players or for videogames. Is there a significant advantage to getting the 400mhz model over the 300mhz model?

Can Windows xp refresh rates destroy a monitor?

Too low of refresh rates could potentially make the monitor coil overheat. But how low are we talking? Honestly, at the distance you'll be sitting, anything less than 60hz could be hazardous to your health. 60Hz should be supported at every resolution by your monitor.

USB video products are crap. The reason video doesn't look like TV is your monitor isn't interlaced. When viewing an interlaced source, things just don't look as good.
