OK, this is starting to really suck. This is what I have tried so far and the respective vcore2 voltages that show up in Speedfan 4.33 on stock settings.
F2 1.82
F4 1.82
F7 1.74
F8 1.82
Oddly enough, I can't get anywhere near my memory's spec'd 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1 v. I've added, as...
Well, MFB and I worked on this for a while last night and didn't make a whole lot of headway. It seems that we can not get my RAM to the correct voltage for some reason. Even after adding +.4v it was still below the 2.1v required to maintain 4-4-4-12. At this point it could be a BIOS issue...
Ok, I've got the new memory and PSU installed. Now I'm having a weird problem. When I try the settings that MFB posted, the PC fails to boot 2x like before, but now on the 3rd when it used to come up all the way and I could go back into BIOS, the PC is on like it should be but the monitor is...
Just to be safe, when I completely remove the old RAM and install the new is there anything I need to do before or after, or can I just swap them and all is well? I have read a ton about resetting the CMOS, etc. I was not sure if this is something I need to do. I planned on resetting all...
NP :) I appreciate all of the help and the feedback none the less. You guys have been pretty patient with helping, especially since I know very little about OC. FYI, I am resetting back to default settings tonight and I will be installing the correct RAM and the new PSU (Silencer 750 Quad)...
Now that I know what it is, it seems that after I made the setting changes you suggested, the PC fails to boot and reverts back to the factory settings. I'm curious to see what I'll end up with after having the right memory.
What kind of a limit should I give myself on the stock cooler...

Thanks for the awesome response. In doing further research, I have found that the RAM I purchased was the wrong one. I purchased all components at Microcenter, one of their "Build your own" guys grabbed everything I asked for and in his rush it seems he gave me a different model of...
Ok, this boots fine.

I can't seem to get the memory to boot on 4-4-4-12 timing. I have not exceeded the +.2v that was recommended to me. So as of right now it's running at...
You guys are cracking me up. The last set of pictures ARE with it changed. I wonder if there's an issue with the F8 BIOS that could be causing the problem? I have done everything that you told me and have taken pictures, short of that I don't know what to do.
Here are the settings being changed.

This is what it shows after saying yes to the 3rd picture above and the PC...
Here are the links to the before pics that show the default settings.

That's what I've been trying to tell you guys, the pics were AFTER the changes. When the changes are made, the red box pops up that says "Save changes and set to CMOS Y/N." I say yes and the PC restarts, it powers up for a few seconds and shuts down, powers up for a few seconds and shuts down...
Here you go.

Ok, tried your settings. This is what I'm experiencing. I set the System Memory Multiplier to 2.00 but the Memory Frequency said this 800 667 not 800 800. I changed it to 2.40 and then it said 800 800. I do not have an option that says High Speed Dram DLL Settings. I'm not sure how...
Has anyone had sound issues with this board? I have searched high and low and can't seem to find much info other than issues with the Realtek HD Drivers or the MSFT UAA driver. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both and I am still experiencing some crackling/hiss through the speakers. I...
Ok, I'll give that a shot and let you guys know. Thanks for the info. FYI, I'm still using the stock CPU Cooler. I thought about switching it, but I'm not sure if I really need to being that (1) I'm not sure how much I plan on pushing the processor since this is my first OC experience and...
Hello all, I have been a lurker here for about a week and read so many pages of this forum, so here it goes. This is my first pc build (parts listed in sig) and I have never OC'd a pc before. I played around with some of the setting that I have seen in this forum and haven't had much sucess...
