    Gaming chair recommendation

    This is the correct answer if you want to buy a chair. If you want go for the DIY method, get a really nice car seat (Mercedes S class or Volvo). Then make your own chair base. You can probably hook up some sort of inverter to power the mechanicals and seat warmers.

    For those on the trail. The time counts down when the game is launched. Do NOT launch the game when the game says it is, "Ready to Play". At that point you can go into the game and play the streaming install portion of the game. Maximize your game time by letting it fully install.

    Yea, I bet the DX12 implementation is not quite ready for primetime. Good for first looks but not really ready to run if you want to just play the game. The Frostbite DX11 code is quite mature and will take time for the DX12 code to match it.

    Just a heads up, it looks like DX12 is working in the open beta. It probably isn't wise to keep DX12 on since the Frostbite DX11 code is definitely more sorted out, but it is nice to see it enabled in the open beta.

    If I remember from when I played it last, there is an option to hide a lot of the UI elements. I think XP and reward popups are one of them. Also, possibly very important, the kill feed is defaulted to be turned off. Make sure to enable it when you go into the game if you like having it.

    What I have tried myself is that the touch controllers fell really natural in the hands and are really light. I really like them over the Vive wands. Also, Oculus has released an update a week ago that allows for more cameras to be added for better tracking in a larger scale.
