Suggestions for Barcode Scanner?

Thanks for the replies folks, so far the Intelliscanner is still looking like the best (but still too darn much money solution!). I checked out Symbol MC50 on ebay, but all the prices I'm seeing are in the neighborhood of $500. $230 sounds like a nice deal.

Further details to answer some of the questions. - I was only referring to the Check Engine Light because I have no idea what all lights there are available on the panel (the "CEL" was what came up as a reference from google searching). No matter the case, NONE of any of the warning lights...

Setting up a File/Print/NAS Server, need some help/opinions

Just wanted to throw a final chime in about the File/Print Server, Received my 5port gigabit switch today (went with a Netgear GS605) and the transfers between my PC and the Server are now mooooovin right along! :-) Thanks again for all the bits of help folks.

I need a printer that prints to CD/DVD

I also have an Epson R200 that I'm very pleased with. ...BUT be warned! The vast majority of the "inkjet printable" CDs/DVDs on the market are NOT glossy and therefore won't give you that 'punch' like you'd see on the professionally done blanks. Even so, I'm still happy with mine!

I second the suggestion of Egress for 1 BIG reason (big for me anyway) and that's cached/embedded images in the feeds. My favorite feeds are the ones with lots of images, and the vast majority of readers do NOT cache the images, which forces you to have to be connected to the Net in order to...

Finally got the box up and running last night. Started off will getting Win2k on the box, but I had some problems with getting the appropriate drivers so I rebuilt with WinXP...Had the SAME problems with the drivers (so the problem wasn't because of win2k) but I finally got things working...

Thanks for your help Madwand1. I think I'm going to go with Software RAID-0 (going to run Win2k on the box). Even if the performance is just on par to running the drives on their own, I like the idea of having one chunky drive to write everything to.

Hmmm, Win2k aye? I think that's the way I'll go then. The old PC's pretty light in the Mem dept so the bloat of XP might not be the best thing for it. I just ordered a pair of 400gb SATAII Seagates for $99 each! Sweet! Now to find a good PCI SATAII Controller with RAID.
