With Cougar pulled, what options stand?

I ordered an Asus P8P67 and an i5-2500k from Buy.com yesterday and both shipped (and promptly disappeared off their site), though they've yet to charge me for the board, which makes me nervous. I've seen a few still on Tigerdirect today also.

Hmm, so buy.com shipped my order, complete with tracking #'s, so hopefully it makes it here.

I took a chance and ordered a P8P67 and an i5-2500k from Buy.com today. I don't care about the SATAII ports, as I won't use them. Just hoping they will still ship it, because both the board and CPU disappeared off their site not long after I ordered.

Not sure if anyone here is still running this board or not, but i'm having some issues running 4 memory sticks. So far, I can only get the board to post at 2.2v+, but it locked up in Windows shortly after booting @ 2.2v. At 2.3v it seems to be running fine, though I haven't thoroughly stress...

I suspected cable also. The 3 notebooks I tested pulled 75+ Mb/s no problem on the same cabling though. I guess certain chipsets are more sensitive? If it comes down to it, I doubt my boss (the owner) will want to spend any money on it, since it really isn't causing any issues that he would...

It's all cat5 cable. If I set all the NICS to auto-negotiate then they will link at 100 Mb full but cannot get any activity out of them, no ping response from anything. Setting the speed manually is the only way they will work. This is the way they were setup years ago, before I got here. If...

The memory was taken from a perfectly stable system, but i've yet to run memtest on it. I'll probably get some DDR2 eventually. onboard midi and gameport are disabled.
