Round 2: Vid cards
My story: eVGA until the 500 series came out. I bought an MSI twin Frozr 560Ti on the release date, as EVGA didn't have an offering at the time. the fans died while under warranty, (thank goodness for IGP!) and the replacement was giving me artifacts more or less right off...
It may be a matter of you get what you pay for, but one of the SATA 6Gbps ports on my ASRock failed within the first year. It is still under warranty, but I don't feel like taking down my primary rig for as long as it takes for them to NOT cross ship.
I'll admit, it was one of the cheaper...

So, Who is your preferred motherboard vendor?
Me personally at the moment, ASUS, for a good combo of features and reliability, but I wouldn't say no to EVGA.
It's a shame we can't create polls.
I was looking to get a general feel from this community on your go-to component brands, in terms of "I'd prefer this(these) brands over others"
And then create a "I won't buy this brand for components ever ever ever."
I'm sure a lot of this will be...

I have an e350 and it's fine and games well. I don't know how well the i3 would game.

I've been using my dm1z e350 for almost a year now, and I'm really happy with it. I intend to pick up the e450 refresh in January. out of the box with 3 GB of RAM and the 320GB WD...
I've been on hold for 2.5 hours now.. I'm going to hang up and call corporate now. And all the horror stories i've been reading are not making me happy that my vp2030b just died this morning.
