I can further clarify just a little bit. They're contracted through a company that technically handles this.. but still the question is posed to me.. oh well.
It "sounds" like there is a 3rd party piece of software on their server. It sounds like it's installed on that server. I am assuming...
Trying to help someone out and they're being way to sketchy w/ the details which may just be clouding my thinking..
I do know a couple things.. it's running raid5, they use an additional tape backup system. It sounds like something crashed.. But again.. I'm not sure. I'm going to assume that...
well if your dead set on not using your motherboard.. (which I would advise b/c you're only using 2 HD's.. ) essentially you're wasting your money w/ 2HD's it would be a different story if you were using a 4HD raid 5 setup. But your best Performing companies could be Highpoint, Adaptec, AMCC...
I hope they come out w/ 74gb or 150gb versions for $1 per GB. Make it cheaper to setup RAID's w/ numerous drives. Especially if you only wanna house your OS on it.
I am a tad bit angry because I bought 3 150gb raptors last month and run RAID0. now I see this raptor come out..
Reviews and bechmarks alone and in Raid0
oh my.. soooooooooo sweet. Wish they would make raptors like this cheaper w/ less space for RAID0.
um. yes you are. You act like I'm trying to make a living off buying academic software and selling it. I bought it and realized that it wasn't the version I needed. I was unaware home edition didn't allow for domain login. So I ended up buying a different version.
worst part is.. what if...
ok.. just recently I sold the Vista Home Premium Upgrade Version on Ebay 32bit & 64bit version.
The item was bought at a store as the "academic version", in addition I sold the 64bit upgrade DVD w/ it also (I ordered that from MS directly). Unused, valid key etc.. etc..
Sold for like $100...
Actually I already had a recommendation for ConvertXtoDVD.. I'm trying it right now. I need the AVI to be formatted properly etc.. then burnt to DVD. I believe ConvertXtoDVD will do it properly.. I'll post how it works. The program interface almost seems a little to simplistic, but it seems...
not sure why I would ever forget the middle and I'm not gonna go digging..
386 --> 486sx 33 laptop (still own it somewhere) --> 486dx 66 (still got it =] ) --> 486dx100 (upgrade to the dx66)
p1, 2's and 3's are total blur... I remember only having 1 of each version.. and one was an mmx...
Great info people.. I guess I'll just keep my eyes out for a good deal.. Since I'm not a gamer I'm in no hurry whatsoever. At least I know it's almost pointless for a user such as myself to drop $100+ into a sound card.
I have a Gigabyte P35-DS4 v2.0 for my motherboard. When I built the PC I ordered everything in one shot which also included a Creative Audigy SE 7.1. When browsing web pages (in particular scrolling pages) the sound would slow down to 1/2 speed, then go back to normal when I stopped. So I...
all of the above. your stomach can take alot of repetition b/c these are high repetition exercises for your stomach.. I personally do something very difficult called the dragon flag.. look it up in youtube and you'll see an example.. works all the abs but particular the very upper area that goes...
I was 7% in the summer of 07. I would probably assume right now I'm at approx 12%. I purposely add approx 10lbs during the winter to gain a little mass then drop it right around this time of the year. I do run approx 4-10 miles per day though. Run several 1/2 marathons per year.
tons of ram aren't set correctly. I have corsair xm2 that "states" it's clocked @ 4-4-4-12 800mhz.. Of course every person who's ever bought it has default settings of 5-5-5-18 800mhz using a completely different voltage.. Just something that needs to be played w/ when dealing w/ certain...
I currently run stable @ stock voltage of 1.11V 3.6ghz. If you touch 1.5V you're gonna hurt your cpu's lifespan.. I can hit 4.4ghz stable if I up the Voltage to 1.45. unfortunately I have to clock my ram a little lower b/c it gets very touch.
i have the same motherboard and the corsair xms2 ram.. it defaulted to the wrong settings like almost all corsair does..
look up the info to find what the setting should be set to .. by default mine was set to 5-5-5-18 @ 800mhz. using 1.8v .. I now use either 5-5-5-15 @ 950mhz 2.1v or...
bios supports new cpu.. at least it better.. I would have to check on the version but by default it should definately suppot a 2.4 p4 vs a 2.8 prescott p4
prior to putting the new chip in.. computer wouldn't even start. It took time to kill the cpu.. but it happened sure enough. There was...
I think I did read good things about this program... I think I will give it a try since it works out for you.. I saw a review that it was in the top 3 out of. wasn't sure about it's copyright features.. ty.
these were the top 3 per a site I found.
#1 DVD Cloner
#2 1Click DVD Copy
#3 DVDFab
are some DVD's protected from copying? if so are there programs that will bypass that protection and duplicate the entire DVD. I also have roxio, nero etc.. programs for any other DVD creation needs.
ok this is one of my old built pc's.. the MB is an ABIT IC7 478 pin. For some time the cpu was overheating... would always set of the alerts when the cpu was worked to hard. Surprised the CPU lived as long as it did. Anyways.. one day. done. went to ebay and grapped a 2.8 prescott for...
can anyone recommend a good DVD Ripper/Copier that basically clones a DVD down to every aspect.
I have some DVD that I bought on ebay that I love.. but is REALLY scratched up.. need to put it on a new DVD that I can maintain properly.
I've been 3.6 at stock volts for several weeks now. I've run all the stress tests etc.. and completely stable. I almost thing I can get a little higher at stock voltage. My MB is a Gigabyte p35 ds4
I personally thought the Q9450 was to overpriced to purchase currently. Instead I bought the e8400 until prices on the quads come down a little (if ever). I have mine clocked to 3.6 using stock voltage and running as cool as it did at 3.0. But if someone had the q9450 in one hand and the...
I don't agree w/ these opinions whatsover.. I run 4 HD's and 3 OS's on my main computer.. It's setup in RAID 0 w/ 2 150gb 16mb cache raptors..... The feel is much better than other hard drives that I've used.. The write and read speeds have also shown better in comparison w/ 2 350gb WD...
I run a Gigabyte p35-ds4 ver 2.0 and my e8400 is clocked @ 3.6ghz and the ram is approx 940mhz 5-5-5-15. I'm @ default voltage and is running almost exactly as cool as @ stock temp... I ran it up to 4.2ghz but didn't really feel the difference even though tests show some increases..
ehh...
very true.. sse4 vs 3 technology in the e8400.
but the program will utilize the quad core..
the streaming and cuts involved would be much faster on the e8400 though.. also overclocking on the e8400 seems to be easier.. I hit 4.1ghz on air cooling. 3.6ghz w/o even touching the voltage...
I guess I'll subscribe to this thread for some assistance.. I have a Gigabyte P35 DS4 version 2.0 running the newest version of bios. My cpu is the e8400 which is currently running 3.6ghz @ stock voltage. my ram is currently stable @ 940mhz 5-5-5-15. But.. if i push the ram even a hair...
I have a similar setup..
e8400
gigabyte ga-p35-ds4 rev 2.0
8600gt (I'm not a gamer)
right now I'm using some inexpensive Corsair XMS2 6400 4GB 800MHZ.
supposed to run @ 4-4-4-12 800mhz..
also this stuff defaults to 5-5-5-18 1.8v, instead of 4-4-4-12 2.1V.
can't OC the CPU and run...
