I appeciate the information, will just help me sort some things out.. Looks like you have your CPU unlocked? I also wonder about that Video Aperture setting of 128.. is that because your vid card has 128 of ram? is that what determines this setting? I am running my 2400 at 15 x 133...

I had done it by removing the battery then shorting the jumper as the manual states. However I have sinced RMA'd the board abd have another, which seems to work NeDDoG

I not sure what you are saying... but there is no additional information in the manual as i have read it or at least nothing i understand... and the CPU FREQUENCY setting includes clock speeds upto 200 in increments of one, in advanced, in Optimal I believe it had a selection of 100/133/166...

Ya i did that... even put in a 1900 trying to reset it... Nothing seemed to work. I tell ya I am real dissapointed and without a desktop at home now :( reseting the bios on the MB seems to have no effect, I am still getting "memory failed system test", or whatever it is. NeDDoG

There used to be s ite to identify Processors from AMD by their serial number.. I cant find the darned link and I even searched the Forums... I am tryin to identify this one AXDA2400KV3C AICUC0243TPDW Specifically to see which architecture or verion this is.... NeDDoG

Well now after messin with settings in the bios, I cant even boot the stupid thing.. I am getting (system failed memory test).. I was getting that before with the Corsair memory and the answer was to change to old 2100 ram and manually change the memory settings... Now I cant do anything.. I...

I hate to say it but I have , (Read the Manual), or at least skimmed through it.. the only JUmper pertaining to FSB that I can see is beside the North Bridge and has two settings, Default 266-333 FSB support or 200 FSB, I have it on the 266/333 one... NeDDoG

Well I am stumped.. I am looking at the bios now and the top option (CPU External Frequency) says it is at 133.... I am totally baffled is that the right setting or am I missing something? NeDDoG

Need To Upgrade From 1900XP

Ok.. Upgrade time again, and I havent been keeping up. As you can see from my signature, I have a nice system but have the cash to upgrade again, so I could use some advise. I would like at least a 2.4 gig or XP 2400... am willing to replace the MB, CPU and the Ram but am lost with all this...

Does Mozilla have an email client?

Yes it does work with a IMAP servers, I am using it myself because of that reason and it is a nice clean email client, I am considering totally getting rid of outlook NeDDoG

If I reinstall WinXP, will My Documents folder be overwritten?

If you reformat you will loose everything for sure.. I believe you can boot to the CD and select upgrade (might be repair).. and it will then NOT overwrite your settings and Documents. I did a screw up last night and lost my sound card, only way to get it back was to re-install, I booted the XP...

USB Question???

I have one of those USB cards that go into the back of the case for xpansion and plug into the motherboard, however, for some reason the plug on it only has 10wires and the Soltek MB has 14 wires for its USB header plugin.. confusing as ... NeDDoG
