Technically it is "low sulfur", which is classified as 500 ppm sulfur.
Off-road diesel was transitioned to the 500 ppm "low sulfur" standard before 2007. This replaced true "high sulfur" diesel that had much higher concentrations of sulfur. Off-road diesel will transition once again to...
Believe me, if the software I need for work was available for linux or Mac I would!
theprodigalrebel is right....it's not a virus -- it's malware. It asks for permission to break your OS! LOL
<rant>
After installing updates overnight, I was informed that my copy of Windows is not genuine. It has always been genuine before...I've had to validate that several times.
It is RETAIL. It came in a sealed box. I'm holding the CD, box, and folder with key in my hand.
I'm...
I haven't brined and stuffed a turkey, but I have brined several... I don't think you'd want to adjust the liquid in the stuffing as you're after as much moisture as possible while cooking. But a good brine is salty, so you will want to put very little, if any salt in the stuffing.
No it does it both accelerating and decelerating. Also coasting, even in neutral.
The U-Joints are OK. I know what they sound like and this isn't it. They click, ping, and vibrate, they don't whine like a dying TV.
I've got a 2000 Dodge Dakota that is making a high-pitched whine from the rear axle. It's the "heavy duty" option 9" rear end WITHOUT limited slip. Has 96K miles on it and the fluid looks pretty clean. (I've only had the truck for the last 12K)
It starts as a slow whirring sound around...
I'm about 2 weeks from doing a system build (already have most of the parts except the mobo), and am looking for recommendations for an AM2 board that would be the most stable and reliable to consider. It will be running an X2 5200+ with 1GB of Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2 800 with a...
I've had Dish Network for 11 monhts. It was "professionally" installed (a.k.a. I didn't do it myself.)
The hardware sucks.
I just had to replace the LNBF on my dish for the second time. The first one lasted 5 months and I had a repair guy come fix it (for $$$). I just replaced it again...
Many towns here in Kansas and eastern Colorado have been offering to give away land to businesses willing to locate there for years. A few towns have offered free land to home builders too. Link.
Not sure why this Alaska story is the top link on every news site today....it's not a new idea.
Not a problem at all.
I'm 28, wife is 23. Seems to be working out.
With that said, it wouldn't work for everyone. A mature guy who wants to more-or-less settle down dating a still-in-party-party-every-weekend-mode college girl probably wouldn't work. It's about where you are in life...
If it never gets standing water, you can probably get by with laminate. Just make sure you lay it down over a 4 to 6 mil layer of plastic sheeting. Overlap the plastic and tape the seams. Extend the plastic out from under the edge of the laminate up the walls where the baseboard goes. Pay...
Yeah, but:
1) I hate carpet in an office. Chairs were meant to roll on a hard surface. So I decided to go with vinyl or laminate.
2) The floor I took out of the room was about 1" pile...couldn't leave stuff that thick under anything.
I just layed 160 sq ft in my office.... Got it at Lumber Liquidators for like $1.60/sq ft. The worst part about laminate is having to get the subfloor perfectly flat. Mine had a tolerance of only 1/4" variance over 6 feet. 10 bags of cement-based floor leveler later and the cost of the...
I bought a beef to butcher from a rancher this spring. It was so big (1200 lbs live weight) that I split it with my parents. My cost including purchasing the animal and having it butchered and processed was around $2.00/lb.
I love seeing 50lbs of steaks in the freezer I got for the price...
I've always understood purring to generally be a sign of contentment.
I was also told by a veterinarian one time that how fast a cat begins to purr when petted is a sign of how "good" (or friendly the cat is). I've had cats in the past that you could pick up and pet for 20 minutes before...
I've got a spammer in Boca Raton Florida who is spoofing one of my email addresses. I'm getting something like 800 bounces a day and they all originate from the same IP.
I've called his ISP.
I've called my webhost.
Nobody gives a darn.
My domain will probably end up on the anti-spam...
drnickriviera is right...we already have low-sulfur and they are switching to ultra-low sulfur diesel.
What sucks is that sulfur is largely responsible for the lubricative property of diesel fuel. So the newer fuel will be less oily than the older. So, everyone who puts post-2007 fuel in a...
That's like asking "How old do you have to be to drive a Honda."
Gee, don't you know you can get your Honda licence at 15 but can't drive a Toyota until you're 18?
Dumb.
Glock is a brand of gun.
Glock is not a synonym for gun.
Best advise I got was this: Don't have a big huge expensive bash for the wedding. If you two are putting up the money, it's better put into a downpayment on a house and if her daddy is, then he'll respect you a whole lot more.
We spent $<3000 on the wedding and honeymoon (a full week)...
I know it's a fantasy show, doophus.
But the person who just messaged me on MySpace wondering if Jericho was a real town is the one who really needs clued in.
Too many people swallow what Hollywood dishes up to be reality.
Interesting show so far, but they didn't do their homework about the setting.
Here is what we know about the town:
1) Jericho is supposed to be in Kansas.
2) It is within a 20 minute drive on the north side of I-70
3) It is northeast of Goodland (a real town)
4) They can see mountains...
No Flash for Linux?
Then what is this.? and why does their Product Manager say there will be a version 9 for Linux if it doesn't exist?
Games are irrelevant for me. I'm married, run 3 businesses, and own my house. The wife, the jobs, and the honey-do's don't leave much time...
As far as I'm concerned, the WGA is a Trojan Horse -- it claims to be beneficial in order to coerce the user into installing it only to find out it is harmful!
Also, the day (likely with Vista) will come when Windows will be subscription based rather than purchased. This will prove that...
In a vehicle without overdrive, the driveshaft turns the same speed as the engine in high gear. So 1200 RPM is no where near unheard of...that's just off idle
Philodendrons are a good choice, but definitely need a room with a window. Live for a long, long time if cared for properly. (If you know someone who has one, you can start a new one from a "cutting" for free too). I've found the split-leaf philodendrons to be more hardy than the plain ones...
I do $25/hour in shop (repairs and stuff) and $35/hour on-site. No extra charge for Saturday, and I don't do calls on Sunday.
It's a sideline business. Small town...no way I could make a living doing this here (at any rate)
Give that seal around the door and the flap about 5 years of age and miles and see if they keep the rain and road grim out of the tank.
LOL @ Ford
Just bought a newer laptop and put Ubuntu on it. Using GNUcash for my business bookkeeping.
It's fast, stable, and does what I need it to for free.
I'm sick and tired of forking money over to Microsoft. Decided to not spend another $400 on software just because I got a new laptop...
