    I'm thinking the same as you about how the extra volts that are seen with a multimeter are added to the 1.21v that comes with the new bios. The voltages being close to being maxed out is still unknown. Soon time for drivers from Nvidia.

    Theres a few people that pop in and out of different threads about the 1.21v mod. You swear they work for nvidia. In regards to this thread, the info is on enthusiast forums, and people there should no what the risks are, but if they don't people tell them, plus they are warned before flashing.

    Works like a charm My original stock boost is 1202mhz, and my new stock boost speed is 1293mhz. The 1293Mhz is higher than my highest overclock on the core(1286mhz), temps went up 2-3 degrees tops. The voltage still behaves the same accept it doesn't use 1.175.

    Sell the 5870's while they are still worth something. Get a single 670 and have same or better performance. Less heat, and less of a power bill.

    You can roll your eyes. I've been rolling mine for a while. anyway I never seen a bottleneck in my system. I never really had to worry about if BF3 took more cpu power in multiplayer than it does in single player. Maybe it does, but not enough for me to notice. I didn't look up the graph.

    Sure it does. It show that the CPU has the power at stock settings to push the 670 to it's limit. I don't believe having a faster cpu effects multiplayer. It's all video card.
