Does Anandbench CPU account for HDD vs SSD?

I want to compare Q9650 (Yorkfield) performance against i5-4670K (Haswell). The AnandBench tool presents this directly, which is great. Except... I wonder if the Q9650 results might have been obtained with a mechanical drive, whereas the Haswell would certainly be with an SDD. Looking back...

I'm looking for something to replace a failing WD 300GB Velociraptor as my single non-RAID boot drive under WinXP Pro 32-bit. BTW this is the second of these Velos to fail under quite moderate home use. So I won't go there again. I need at least 80GB capacity but am willing to spend more...

The RAM issues are totally unrelated to the hard drive stuff. The current situation is pretty messy. Why not split that into two forums? Seems so obvious that I wonder if I'm missing something. A lack of moderators maybe? Arbie

Thanks, n7. That helped too. I realize that the QX9650 isn't a good value at its MSRP, but for a couple weeks there new ones had dropped to $750 on Ebay. The difference between those and Q9550 (I want Penryn for several reasons) was only about $200, since the new Yorkfields haven't dropped...
