  7. Recommendations for a good, recent, 4X strategy game?

    I love Sins, both 1 and 2, but for some reason they crashed for me randomly while playing. Over different computers and OSes, all Windows(xp, 7 and 8). I once started to save more often, but it really sucks to crash and have to redo your last 15 turns. Any solution to the crashes? I'd fire up...

    I ran into a bonus level either after level 1 or 2. I was basically killing spammers. Lol. Made something around 25k. Can't tell if this is a regular thing. Got to level 6 but trying to maximize level 2. Just figured out all 4 secrets for it.

    Seems like the gold drops are related with the TV ratings, which is based on how many/fast people you kill, and is a red number in the upper-left corner.

    Having trouble with this. I first try 1234, then 5678, then pick some previous numbers and add 9 if necessary. But sometimes after trying 1-9, I get only three numbers as being valid. There is no 0, and numbers don't double, do they? What am I doing wrong, or should I just save them for later...

    What gives the gold bars that give 2500 and 5000 points? Seems to be either a combo of weapons or a combo of kills. That's what really pushes up the score. Trying to push 100k on the first level.

    Seems like it's helpful to maximize income on every level. Should I get the bounty detector thing on level 2? And still can't figure out how to hack those things, holding down shift. Ugh.

    That doesn't really help to see how viable I am against the enemies in a particular level. And for some reason I can't even install bombs.

    It's kinda brutal even on easy. Mucho experimentation needed with different weapons and weapon placement.
