Ok, now I have the drivers from Nvidia...
Now what? I'm a complete linux newbie, so what do I do?
All I've got is my WinME partiton and Mandrake 7.1 Deluxe in a box.
Help!
Hi!
Ok, I tried installing a copy of Mandrake 7.1 Deluxe on to a computer that was alreadr running WinME. Everything loaded alright but when it got the part with XWindows and choosing a Monitor/Graphics Card The screen got garbled.
Anyways I couldn't see or do anything so I had to reboot...
Simple Question:
How do I see the other computers connected to my network through WinME (Like through network neighboorhood in Win98)?
Thanks in Advance
Wow.. Intelligent conversation!
About the nazi living next door: Just let him live his life! The constitution protects him upto the point where he incites violence or takes away the rights of others. If he's flying a nazi flag in his own home, he's not inciting violence.

Yes, I expect this thread to be moved and/or locked.
But to answer your question...
Celerons are produced for both Slot 1 and Socket 370. FC-PGA processors go into Socket 370, while the slot 1 processors go into slot 1. socket 370 looks like what you might stick an original flat pentium...
Perry,
I never saw that post, so that's why there was no credit given. :)
Also, those posts dealt with the product when it was out of stock. I thought I might revive it to try to get peoples attention.
Plus, this board isn't about credit, It's about providing the info!
Cheers!
To get a debit card you have to make so much a year (They figure you'll deposit). I got mine when I worked for minimum wage for 15 hours a week on average.
Free checking rules!
I started playing when the "Revised Edition" came out.
I still have "Royal Assasin" and "Shivan Dragon" (The were the rarest in the series) in near-mint condition!
Krankey: Yah, that was me with the debit card experience! :)
Actually, I have online banking, so I know when charges go through. I usually takes a few days for each to go through, and before that they're just pending. Luckily I caught it before the charges solidified!
Another note: Online...
If you want a credit card "just to have one", make sure that it has no monthly rate. I have a Debit/Check Card and it works the same way as a credit card. I also have another credit card with a low limit and no fees for emergencies (Like flat tire and I have no case)
Don't be...
I get what he's saying...
He wants a dedicated machine on a dedicated fast connection to host his game! He wants to hook it up to the internet so everyone can.
I've heard of places like this, but in the long run It's cheaper to buy your own machine and pay for the connection yourself.
Yah, a check/debit card will work with online retailers. Just don't screw up (like I did)
Ordered a monitor and floppy drive from egghead.com on Sunday
First try to place it gave me an error and to go back and try again...
Second try gave me the same error...
Came back to it 5 hours later and...
I have the same drives! What I did was put them on the same IDE channel and make the Pioneer Drive the Master and the Plextor the slave. Due to the Burn-Proof technology, I've yet to create a coaster! :D
Not to my experience...
Besides, if you want to learn C++ you have to Buy a compiler (you can get crappy ones off the net, but you get what you pay for!), but most JAVA compilers are free!
Go to the 'Reimbursment Request' members area. Tehre should be a pull-down menu with all the vendors. Onvia will be listed (Onvia/avenue a).
cheers!
Edit: I just checked and it's there!
Here's the deal with OnVia and Pointclick
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your email. Onvia.com is on the Pointclick Network

Note: I re-edited the first message so everyone wouldn't have to look all the way down...
Onvia's listed price: $264.99
Onvia's Coupon: -$25
Pointclick's 10% Reimbursment: -$24

Onvia is on pointclick for reimbursment. just go to the Reimbursment request page and Onvia is in the pull-down menu.
I tried to do one, but the credit card page failed.
This thread will probably be locked btw, it should've gone in the HOW TO sponsored thread.
Cheers!
What's the card brand? I remember reading that the Guillemot/Hercules GeForce 2 64MB had some problems with the drivers that made the card cause booting problems
Edit: Re-read your original post and it's definely the Graphics card. go to http://www.hercules.com/ and they should offer solutions!
Ok, I'v heard tale that it's available in some areas (Like mine, Metro. Phoenix) and is FREAKING FAST! Anyone using it or know more about it? Also, would it be good to run a dedicated gaming server with?
Sounds cool! put in another NIC on the computer hooked up to the Cable modem and then use it as a gateway for the other!!
I'd suggest you use linux for the computer that's the gateway, that was it can be a firewall at the same time!
I'm listing to Gladiator(Hans Zimmer) and Dragonheart(Randy Edelman)

I usually try to pricematch an online retailler at a B&M store (Like outpost.com at compUSA). That was I have no problems with returns or customer service.
I have yet to have a bad online experience. I've bought from amazon.com, onvia.com, and valueamerica.com and all went flawlessly!
Dave: I knew it was either Taiwan or Hong Kong.
And yes, Natural Disasters can cause price increases. Lotsa things can, but I agree that RAMBUS and OEM's have a bigger impact.
All you can do is hope!
Crucial sells it's pc133 128MB's for $140. There's a lot that goes into the producion of mamory that causes to price to fluctuate. Example: Taiwan/Hong Kong earthquake.
Open up 'My Computer', choose, View, choose options, choose File Types, choose the file type you want to accociate the icon with and change the icon using that option!
