I think I fixed it. Unchecked the box for HDMI sound Downloaded the driver for the Realtek Audio. I now have sound. Only thing is when I went to download the driver, I got a message. Said something about the driver might not be right for the computer and could cause issues. Not sure why that...

VirtualLarry, I don't believe any RAM was added. I will look under Device Manager and see what I can find. The model number is Aspire 5742Z-4813

I wasn't on planning to use any partitions. In one of tutorials I saw they say to create a partition to put the new OS in. Vista isn't on a partition and I was going to put XP on the other HD with no partition. Since I have the HD space I was going to install programs to both. Just to be sure...

They are both SATA drives. But then would I have to change the order every time I booted up? Doesn't it ask which one you want to use at start up? That would be the easier option though. And it wouldn't be that big of a deal to change the BIOS each time. Just a little annoying.

I was told I could put two OS on the same rig but different HDD. When I put the disc in for XP the option to install is not lit up so I can't click on it. I'm sure there is a way around that but I don't know how to do it. I'm still new at all this.

Thanks for the tip Spike. I'm doing the art mostly for my own work and side projects. Nothing professional. I already spent $500 for the Wacom and that's probably way too much for hobby type art stuff. If I do go pro, I'll get a good LCD.

I would love to have a CintiQ. I did get a Wacom last year. That was working fine on XP. Corel Painter IX wasn't working too well on my old system. Now it won't work at all with Vista. I'm not sure if I have SP2 for XP. But it sounds like everything will be ok once I install it. Thanks.

If I install XP on a seperate drive, will I get the speed from the Q6600? I know I won't have access to the full 4Gb of ram but will the CPU operate like it would normally? Then I wouldn't need to run Virtual PC if both OS work the way they should.

Well, PRIME95 has been running for almost 5 hours. It said it takes 6 to 24. I'm stopping it at 6. Anyway, the temps have been between in the low 30'sC (90'sF) for Cores 0 and 1 and high 20'sC (Low 80's) for Cores 2 and 3. Is that too high? What's the normal range and what is starting to get too...
