Hey guys, sorry I haven't logged on to the forums in a while now. I'll try to make some time this weekend to make some updates and clean up the list a bit. Thanks for all your suggestions!
When I took cipro for a week, my hips, thighs, and lower back hurt enough that I couldn't fall asleep at night. Some Advil took care of it for me though.
My doctor decided to give me a second prescription after my first week was over. In the middle of the second prescription, I forgot to...
Web page creators work more like Microsoft Word than Paint. If you want to change the background color, you'll have to dig through the menus to set the element properties.
I really like the demo so far, especially the fast load times. I'll probably buy the game when it comes out.
I finally figured out that I can use Pitbulls to detect stealth units. That really helps... I just build a couple and spread them throughout my base.
I coded on my non-widescreen 15" laptop for a while. It was really convenient to be able to take my computer into the computer labs, where I could also use one of the school's workstations along with my laptop. If you don't like the laptop keyboard for coding, you can just plug in a full sized...
It's called proxy bidding and eBay does it automatically. $90 is your maximum bid, and eBay will automatically increase your bid amount up to $90 as more people outbid you.

Job - Web developer for a media design firm. I get to work on some pretty high profile sites. :)
Final Fantasy games are EXTREMELY character and story driven. Some gamers find Final Fantasy to be too linear, but that's the trade off for a solid story.
Were the photos added to the iPod through iTunes? They might only be thumbnails if you went through iTunes, because there's an extra option of transferring the full res photo too.
I'd also like to know if there's a good wireless keyboard out there. I haven't found a single wireless keyboard that doesn't lag when you type above ~70 wpm.
I have a Terk HDTVa and I'm pretty sure that I'm picking up all of the OTA stations I can get. I found that it's pretty fickle about where I place it though. I had to move it around a few times to get all of the stations. Currently, it's sitting behind my TV, which is perfect because it's...
I think my roommate has that one. He loves it, but I noticed that he has his brightness turned way up. He gets image retention very easily, but no burn in so far (he's had his since last May or so) and he plays games A LOT. He's a 3D modeler for Sony Games so he spends a lot of time gaming.
1) When I have to deal with a lot of files and folders, I prefer a CLI. You can copy, delete, move, etc. using wildcards.
2) I agree that the sudo/root issue is kind of annoying if you're used to Windows. I never considered it annoying enough to rant about it though. :) I can see why it's...
Just updated the thread with suggestions from Sickbeast, sciencewhiz, and midnightrat.
Sorry for the slow updates, and I apologize if I did not add your suggestion to the list. I have a reason for excluding some of the suggestions though. I want to keep this list as freeware alternatives...
The debate isn't really whether you can be an engineer without an engineering degree. It's about what field qualifies you to be a true engineer. For example, some people don't consider computer programmers to be engineers and some people do.
I wish we could somehow prove that we own the original cartridge so that we don't have to rebuy it on the Wii. It'd be great if I could just import all of my old SNES and N64 games onto my Wii. I guess there's no way that it could be efficiently or securely done though.
Newegg and ZZF are popular among techy people, but I wouldn't call them major online retailers. Try searching more mainstream online retailers like Amazon or Overstock.com.
I liked TA a lot more than Starcraft. The massive levels and high unit limit of TA forced you to use a lot more strategy.
One of my friends loved building giant fleets of fighter planes (Hawks, I think). That was his style play. He would build a really well fortified base and rely on quick...
You mean the Links Toolbar? Right click on the tab bar (but not on a tab), and check the "Links" option. If it's not positioned correctly, you can unlock the toolbar in that same popup menu and drag the bar to where you want it.
One of my roommates in college had a lot of trouble adjusting socially and academically, and he ended up finding a lot of comfort in religion. He started praying a lot and spending a lot of time with his campus religious group. Being an atheist, I didn't really think it was a good idea at the...
